Doesn't matter guys.... No way he would want to play here. He wants a ring. Colts Cowboys and Cardinals are the best bets.
Quote:I disagree that RB isn't a position of need.

RBs were directly responsible for a LOT of pass protection issues as well.

Besides a handful of games, they were ineffective and were not a threat.

A good RB that can run, catch from out of the backfield, and pass protect well is VERY high on our needs list.

I agree that AP isn't coming here.
You just made my case. Go right down the line of your "must haves" for this team and our current roster meets those needs. Let's start with Gerhart. Thee primary reason he was brought in was not limited to his running abilities but as an NFL RB, he has been given pretty decent marks in his last 6 years (other than last year). Decent pass blocker, better than decent catching out of the backfield and while he was at Minnesota, put up some decent numbers running the ball Albeit limited time due to you know who. I do NOT believe that Toby forgot how to either run or catch or block simply by moving to a warmer climate. And, I do not believe he is a sloughful RB in this league. So what changed about him? For starters, look at our OL. Enough said about that. MAJOR reason for his dismal numbers. HE WAS HURT or is it that anyone can get hurt and get a free pass "except" for Gerhart? When he came back somewhat healthy at the end of the season, he'd already LOST his starting job (and rightfully so) but in the moments he did come in, he contributed and even had glimpses of what the team expected in the first place. But make no mistake, TG is a north south runner that MUST have the rock 15- 20 times per game in order to be the RB he can be. He is NOT a flash in the pan........break one open 6-7 times a game back. That's just how it is. Will he get back to that in Jacksonville? Hard to say but I knda doubt it given those around him are fighting for being the feature back too. DROB had an impressive season and deserves 1st billing. Summer camp will be interesting indeed around the RB position. DROB has proven himself already so not much needs to be said there. Todman is the enigma........impressive finish to last season which can't help but boost his confidence level but does anyone remember he played "behind" Gerhart @ Minnesota? So, all in all.........I stand by my comments that the RB position is the least of our worries. If the OL drastically improves and Bortles finds a way to get rid of the ball...............FAST............that will make the running game look like they are ALL brand new players
Eh I disagree. With better running backs, our offensive line would look better, our QB would take less hits, and we would score more points.

Not to say our offensive line doesn't need to improve or that our QB doesn't need to improve, but so does our RBS group.
A trade with what Philly is offering would be more intriguing

Lol
Quote:Unless you're a believer on Fantasy Island, this entire thread has no wheels. There is NOT a snowballs chance Adrian Peterson even wants to come to Jacksonville.......even if he could. Perhaps we should start living in the real world and besides, the RB position is NOT an area that should be looked at very intently this off season. There are a gazillion other positions that require more attention than this one.

A gazillion?
