I like both of these if they are still there.
Trade down and pick up Davis Tull later in the third round.

Jay Ajayi

This would be my choice if we went RB in the 3rd.
Quote:I think we should be looking for a free safety in this round. Maybe Derron Smith or Chris Hackett. Or maybe one of the running backs of there is anything left after round 2.

(Yes I know it's impossible to predict, but give JW a break! Don't all these draft threads involve a degree of speculation?)

Thanks Andy. As long as there are threads about the first two rounds, there is no reason not to have one about the third.

There will be running backs left after round 2, but I don't know if they are any good in our ZBS.

I said this in another thread, but if your ranked the RB by value as in where most mocks having them go, I might like Ajayi better than anyone. He is the prototypical modern day RB. May not be a full workhorse type(although he did have a lot of carries) but he runs it well, catches it well, blocks well. Seems to do everything well.
Danielle Hunter(If we trade down in the first round and pick anything other than defensive end) He may not of had the stats at LSU, but he is a very athletic player and has the size and strength to be a productive player in the NFL. If he is there, i don"t see any reason not to use our pick on him.

I've seen Hunter mocked in the late 1st round quite a bit lately. Seems like it would be quite a surprise for him to be there twice as late as that.

I should have said in my original post "if we can't trade down." I thought that was implied by the subject title.

But if Danielle Hunter is available at #67, I can't argue without seeing him play he would be a bad pick.

I dunno. His college production last year leaves a lot to be desired. He has all the physical tools but is a big time project at the next level. He'll have to seriously develop his pass rushing traits because he has none at the moment.
