People talk all the time about trading down with someone who wants Marcus Mariota or Jameis Winston. But what about teams who like Kevin White, who is doing everything to show the Raiders he is better than Amari Cooper? They all have to be thinking about jumping over Oakland, who is mocked to pick one of those two guys. Yes, there are other great wide receivers, but the Bills traded up for Sammy Watkins when they could have picked Odell Beckham at #8 and the Giants said Watkins was ranked higher than Beckham on their board. So why does everybody think if we trade down, it must be because somebody wants a quarterback? Mariota could drop out of the top 10 easily, but nobody says that should be expected of either White or Cooper. Our best bet to trade down is actually for a team that needs a wide receiver because the Raiders don't need a quarterback either, but they do need an elite pass catcher.
The jury is still out on whether White or Cooper is the best wide receiver until West Virginia and Alabama have their pro days. Certainly teams could be content to stay put and see who falls. But anything is possible in the draft, including a team moving up to beat someone else to a specific wide receiver, which happened last year. Why shouldn't we expand our trade-down discussions to include any top five draft prospect, especially guys the Raiders need?
Really? This needed its own thread?
Who cares why someone wants to trade up with us?

Honestly thought this was going to be about trading up
Why did you not put it in the official thread you made?

Because nobody liked that thread so people kept making their own threads anyway.

Anyone who cares about the pick number we might trade down to. Depending on who we like in the first round, it could be important to us.

No one cares.

So let's keep making threads that nobody cares about.

Can you get others to do this as well?
Probably not. You'll just dump on JW.
So since this thread is worthless, I've decided to post a recipe for one of my favorite drinks..
Blue Hawaiian
1 ounce of Curacao Blue
1 ounce of light rum
1 ounce cream of coconut
2 ounces of pineapple juice
1 cup of ice..
Blend all ingredients together well in a blender, pour into a highball glass and garnish with a cherry and a slice of pineapple..

Champion of the sun. OooohUhhhhhAhhh! You're a master of karate and friendship for everyone.
Staying on topic, it is apparent to me that Kevin White's performance could push 2 WRs into the Top 5 and while the Jets are often mentioned as coveting Mariota, I am thinking they are coveting a WR more especially when they dump Percy Harvin.
Here is how I see the top 5 Picks
1. Bucs - Winston
2. Titans - Mariota
3. Jags - Williams
4. Raiders - White
5. Redskins - Cooper
This leaves the Jets out in the cold. Sure they might go with Fowler at this pick, but they may want to move up and grab White or Cooper. Question is what will they pay to move up? Their Rd 2 pick is too high to move up 3 spots and not take a QB. I am guessing a Rd 3 pick is what they would be offering.
Should the Jags take a Rd 3 to move down? If they do, then do the Raiders take Williams leaving Cleveland wanting to move up and take Cooper? Would it be worth moving down to Pick 12?
I think the WRs are going to affect this draft, but if Leonard Williams is there at Pick 3, do we really want to move down for less than an extra Rd 2 pick?
Why would the second round pick be too high for the Jets to trade up for a wide receiver? The Bills moved up four spots by giving the Browns their 2015 first round pick. I would do it in a heartbeat for another high second round pick.
If this happens, the Raiders could pick Amari Cooper. So the Jets would only trade up because they have a clear preference for Kevin White . . . or the Redskins also need a wide receiver.
I think a team trading up for Leonard Williams, if he is there, is probable

A team could try to do that, but if Leonard is available, I am not sure if letting someone else have him is a good idea.

This draft is so deep at various positions, alot of holes can be filled with extra picks. For the right price...
Give me Beasley, Fowler or Dupree. Or maybe even Gordon. Maybe 2 of those players (if Cleveland trades their two 1st rounders for a QB- or whoever)
