Full Version: I get the feeling Bradley isn't "sold" on anyone as he was with Bortles

With some quality OLB/LEO guys at the top, I can't see Cooper or Scherff being above them.  Fowler or Beasley has to be above them in my opinion.  Either way, I think you're right that they are more apt to trade back this year.

I know some people doubt Bradley, but if he is doing what I think he is doing, he may be one of the better NFL poker players I have ever seen. Last year, he gave absolutely no indication that we were that big on Bortles and we managed to scoop him up in surprise fashion. I was thinking about the comment and basically he just told every single team looking for a QB, "Hey, we are willing to to trade our pick, so if you want a QB, come talk to us." I originally thought along the same lines as the OP that he may not be sold on anyone, but I think he is actually saying, We are open to trading down, if you want a QB go through us to get him.

I could be wrong, but I think teams may be lining up trade offers after hearing we are open to trading down.

I think that this is what has been circulating around the Combine since yesterday, that the Jags want to trade down and all of this is to force the Titans to make a decision.

Quote:last season.

He's more eager/willing to trade out this year.

The top pass rushers are better suited for 3-4 OLB.

The one elite DL will likely be gone (Williams.)

IMO, our board looks like this:

Williams

Trade

Cooper

Scherff

If there's a pick they may covet, it's probably Williams.  At the same time they probably realize he isn't likely to be there.

That leaves the motivation to trade down and add talent.
I dont think so

No way we draft Cooper or Scherff over Fowler, Ray, Gregory or Beasley and Dupree, Bradley isnt making the picks anyways and I bet he loves all these chooses for pass rushers he's a defensive coach

We go Williams or Fowler or trade down, Cooper is a no and Scherff isnt even worth number 3 if we needed a LT

Jaguars certainly appear to be in a great situation. If Mariota throws well and Winston keeps his mouth shut, the q.b.'s are likely to go 1 and 2 which makes Williams a slam dunk choice. If Williams gets taken by the Titans, Jags have the option of Fowler or a trade down. My preference would be to land Williams, but if he's gone a trade back would enable them to land an extra 2nd rounder this year as well as a 1st rounder next year. If it's the Eagles, they'd get a lot more than that.

I guarantee Fowler is high up on their list.

Ha. I wondered if Bradley was voicing the teams willingness to trade down in order to get teams open to trading with us instead of someone else and immediately found this article now. http://www.bleedinggreennation.com/2015/...riota-pick.

The highlights of the article include: Titans potentially giving us leverage by indicating they may not go QB. Eagles do seem determined to mortgage the future for Mariota. Bradley's comments put us on the map as trade partners, where we may not have been before.

Interesting fan comments include: Browns may be able to offer more(let the bidding war commence). Some actually realize that we have good, young talent that after developed will be a force.

A lot of comments we've already heard, but definitely starting to get optimistic that we may truly get the King's ransom to move down. It doesn't seem as far fetched anymore. What was really interesting is that the Eagles fans actually understand that we have some good young pieces and given time to develop will be really good. Seems like many of our own fans don't understand that.

So, we'll overhaul the entire defense to fit a 3-4 rush OLB?

I don't think so.

If they aren't 110% sold Fowler could handle LEO, they will probably want to trade out if Williams doesn't fall.
