I'll say pass. Too much of a headcase.

, everyone hear understands that.
You asked a simple question: would I draft Dorial Green Beckham if he was there in round two? I said no, and I gave my logic for saying that. You're the one who responded to me after that. If you hadn't, I'd have been done, so basically it's your own dang fault that I'm "play[ing] the moral policemen".

Even if you think DGBs behaviour isn't worth discussing (it is !) you have to admit it makes him a very risky prospect. Especially with the NFL ready to come down hard on any misbehaviour these days.
Avoid.
But if the question is "will someone take a chance on DGB in the first round ?" Then the answer has to be "probably". Although there are some other really good WRs out there

Blackmon looked like an angel coming out of college compared to DGB. Given his current situation though I think I'll pass.

Multiple issues, and not just weed. I think most GMs have removed him from their boards. I think the kid is a potentially impact talent in the NFL, if he can truly change his ways. Unfortunately, with the stricter league punishments and with Gordon/Blackmon current in many minds, I think he slips out of the first round.

I think the way the kid from Seattle showed out in the Super Bowl, teams may be willing to try their luck. I couldsee a team like the Pats try their luck ewith DGB. But Hernandez may be too fresh on their minds

I don't know how you can say that when the question is if you would take a chance on him. This implies he has talent but also some baggage. It's important to know what kind of baggage he is carrying to make an informed decision. You better believe that the NFL scouts care and that they'll be having some really tough questions for him during the interview process.

4.5 40 time, 6'5 237 pounds. He definitely has the height/weight/speed box checked. He had a few drops and double catches during drills though and that makes you wonder about him catching the ball naturally. That and of course his past makes me think he'll still be available come round 2 considering this is a pretty deep WR class.

If he is drafted it won't be until the scroll at the bottom is moving fast enough no one notices who picked him, he is toxic in the current state of things with the league

Quote:The guy measured in at 6'5 237 LBS today, he runs a 4.4 and that speed definitely translates to the football field. He was turning into a dominant player at Missouri before he was kicked out of school, Imo, he's the second best receiver prospect since Calvin Johnson and would've been a sure-fire top 5 pick if he wasn't a complete idiot. With that said there's a still a good chance he goes in the 1st round, if he's still on the board in round 2 (I don't think this will happen), the Jaguars (even with their history of idiot receivers) will have a difficult decision to make, this is a once in a generational talent that offers Calvin Johnson/AJ Green playmaking ability right away, if you're David Caldwell do you consider pulling the trigger? If he's still on the board when we're selecting in the 2nd round it could be a ideal scenario for a trade back.I watch a lot of Missouri. He wasn't that good. He lacks instincts and good hands. He just has the physical measurable.
Think Stephen Hill.

Worked out for the Vikings and Moss.
DGB had trouble starting his first couple years.

Watch out for either Seattle or the pats

I doubt Seattle. They just got rid of their troubled WR in Percy. Not sure if they want to take on more baggage. Maybe the Pats since they like taking on reclamation projects such as DGB, but one would have to wonder if the Josh Gordon situation is still too fresh in everyone's minds.

Figures you'd completely miss the point.
Randy Moss had trouble staying in school.
Both were problem children, and both are likely to have their troubles overlooked in favor of their talent at football since both are larger and faster than most.

Not too shabby for a player his size, but far off the pace of Calvin Johnson, who so many seem to want to compare him to.
