Overall it's a beautiful plan. I think ultimately though, the best thing that's going to come out of it all is the jobs this is going to create.

I really like the plan to have an retired Navy ship/Musem placed there. That is just pretty awesome and a nod to JAcksonvilles Military.

Construction jobs are great for the area in the short term.  Elevating the cities profile is good for the long term.  I always enjoyed my time living in the area.  I would have loved to move back to what I consider home but it just isn't in the cards for me.  I'll have to keep buying my Jags gear and looking to support any way possible.

All the glass architecture looks neat, but I hope the architects kept in mind how hot that could be reflecting the summer sun unto the people below AND on the water itself.

Khan hinted at a covered practice field. Look at this design...

Glass architecture has come a long way.  The North/South lines lower the energy profile for the Sun's East/West movement.

Edit:

I mean by having the narrow portion of the building profiles run East/West you can really control the lighting and exposure.  It does flow nice with the river's movement.  I love architecture.

I like the plan, and I'm happy for Jacksonville right now with the proposed shipyards. Why couldn't WW be this ambitious?

Different person, different generation, different vision.
Mark and Shahid understand the importance of integrating corporate America into the city of Jacksonville, that's very important for strong economical sustainability. Jacksonville needs to be a city where college grads are looking to move because of corporate opportunities, I live in Minneapolis, MN which has a population of about 400k, much smaller than the 800K in Jacksonville, however the feel of the two cities couldn't be any different. And it's because companies like, Target, Best Buy, 3M, Cargill, Xcel Energy, Ecolab, Valspar etc... are headquartered in this area, those opportunities attract college graduates, which coincides with the plethora of different entertainment options there are in the Minneapolis/St Paul area. That’s why it's so important to develop those shipyards. I've said it before and I'll say it again, the city of Jacksonville is extremely blessed to have such a committed owner on and off the football field, Shahid is singlehandedly turning that city around.

So, is there an aquarium? I didn't watch the SOTF
As someone who has lived in this city for a long time, I gotta say this is about the most ambitiious thing I can remember seeing. It will be a methodical process in getting it to frutiion. Will take a lot of groups but if this is built as shown today, it will be world class.
