If the Jags draft one of these guys where would they play them? They all seem a perfect fit for a 3-4 on the outside but 240-245 is too light for a DE in the NFL imo.
Thoughts plz?
Fowler. Surprise he's a early favorite
Fowler is a big time prospect and i see shades of Justin Houston- but give me Gregory right now. Either way, its a big gamble.

They would all play LEO. Chris Clemons (current starter) is listed at 6'3" and 254lbs.
Based on what I know Id rather have Ray. More productive, the best pass rusher, and supposedly more athletic. Gregory I'd be most worried about because he is inconsistent and because of the injury issues. Folwer seems like he is good at a lot of things. But is he a great player at any one thing? He seems like the least risk because he can probably be effective somewhere doing something... even if it turns out he isnt a great pass rusher. The concern with Ray is if he isnt getting after the QB, what else can he do? I do think he'll be able to get after the QB though. I may change my mind however if it turns out he is 6'1 and 230 and not the 6-3, 245 listed. Same with Fowler. What if he comes in at 6'0 or 6'1? Yea size is overrated but not when drafting 3rd overall.
I believe a 240ish edge rusher would get mauled by an NFL OT against the run.

If I had to guess I would say that Fowler at the very least has significantly longer arms than Ray. Fowler isn't tall, but he uses whatever length he has well and he doesn't get enveloped by anyone. Ray isn't tall either, but you can tell the impact much more cause he constantly gets swallowed up almost any time someone gets their hands on him.

Obviously an exception to the rule but Robert Mathis did it one the defensive left side for years. But your point stands.
I think in our defense though, the LEO is set wide and only really asked to contain, and we rely on the three big guys to take care of the middle.

Our defense is really closer to a 3-4 with three bigger D-Linemen (NT, DT, and LDE) and two tweeners that can rush or stand up (LEO and OTTO) on standard downs. The only difference is we rush one side more than the other whereas a true 3-4 is more likely to alternate and be more symmetrical.
Gregory would probably fare best of the three rushing from the end at the NFL level. He's got the talent to play either RDE or rush OLB. I'd pick Gregory and find the best way to use him.
Don't think Ray's production will translate. May end up like Corey Moore (the Hokie, not the Bulldog.) High boom/bust potential, IMO.
Flowers has Planet Theory appeal in his favor, though he doesn't seem to be exceptional at anything but having a motor. He seems to give all on every play, but isn't particularly athletic or have closing ability. Seems more of a muscle LDE end that comes off the field on third and long.

I'm guessing you mean Fowler not Flowers, but you want Fowler on your line in 3rd and long
