By cutting McCown, who is a veteran QB and can potentially fill the "bridge" gap, they are saying "we will take the most pro ready QB and start him day 1". Glennon, who I dont expect to be back with the Bucs either, will be trade bait nad will be traded eventually.
I'm not sure if you know what "official" means
I was half expecting a topic this ridiculous to be a roll of some sort.
They were going to take him regardless of if McCown was cut or not.
Darn it. I wanted JW to play in this division and the opportunity to play against him twice a year.
Hopefully this turns out to be unofficial and the tacks end up taking him.
Side note: FSU has never had a player drafted #1 overall.

true. but now its even more of a sure thing.

why? mccown was absolutely awful. cutting a guy who is absolutely awful changes what?
they were getting a new qb either way.
I still have no idea why they even signed him.
Also the lack of asterisks means it isn't official
Well, on a good note, the draft is a little under 77 days away.
Then they should go ahead and sign him.
Now watch them take Mariota.

This x2.
Without 3 asterisks on each side, nothing is ***official***

Why? Being hte most pro-ready quarterback means he will have a better rookie season than Marcus Mariota, who would be a project anywhere except Philadelphia.
Nothing is official now anyway because the combine has not started yet. FWIW the Titans said they want to move forward with Zach Mettenberger, which led to reports they will
not pick a quarterback at #2.

Who, the Buccaneers? I think a more logical prediction would be the Jets at #6.
According to Bleacher Report: Buccaneers tipped their hand that they are taking a QB after releasing McCown, so they think it is official, as if it wasn't before. They are also supposedly leaning toward Mariota at this junction.
With his record, he'll get in trouble before the draft and drop to the 4th round.

If he does he should not even be drafted. Even Johnny Football stayed out of bars till after the draft.

How does anyone know who they are leaning toward now? People thought we were leaning toward Johnny Manziel because David Caldwell talked about him. We figured out the fact Caldwell talked about Manziel meant he was
not interested in him because he didn't say anything about Blake Bortles.
