Laron Landry has been released by the Colts. Do you think he can come here and play FS? He runs a 4.35 and he is 30 years old. It would add some veteran presence on defense and also since there isn't really a can't miss FS in the draft this year he could be the plug in guy until we get a real FS. He is built like a SS but can play FS, LB, WR...etc according to himself.
Maybe he can teach the rest of the guys how to use PEDs and take the perfect selfies!

Thats the part that bothered me the most was his use of PEDs. But he is a impact player and better than what we have now at FS and probably better than what we will have next year if we don't get this guy. How many rookies are you willing to start and develop until the coaching staff is fired? Im just saying we can't have so many rookies starting and I doubt McCourty hits FA. Sign him to a one year deal and maybe our FS is in the next draft?
The Colts released him. It's not like they've got this stockpile of Free Safeties sitting on the bench who are better. There's a reason they cut him. Pass.

OMG I recognize this name! Let's sign him even though he's 30 years old
At this point in his career he is probably better suited for SS. So no I would not like to pick up his steroid [BLEEP]
I thought Laron Landry was highly overrated in most of his younger NFL days. At an advanced football age, there are certainly better ways of maximizing salary dollars and a roster spot.

Probably linebacker. Dude is so roided and slow I'm not sure how he can cover anyone anymore.

1. No.
2. He ran a 4.35 out of college. After seeing him play last year, I'd be surprised if he even runs a 4.6 anymore.
3. He's not good enough to be a plug in guy anymore.
4. We're better off with Evans at FS, and I dislike Evans as a player.
5. No.

Buddy, all of us are clueless, thats the point to having a message board. Everyone comes in with ideas or news and we try to see what we like the best. Everyone has different opinions, if your so smart you would have gave actual reasons to why not sign Landry instead of calling me clueless, making you the clueless one.
Landry has historically been an awful coverage safety, only serviceable when playing close to the LOS. So no, signing him to be a FS would be a terrible idea.

tbqh, I have on occasion wondered if your like/dislike of players is based on Madden ratings more than real-life observations. If you'd actually watched Landry last year, you'd see that he's a shadow of his former self.

When Laron Landry was younger, he reminded me of a Forrest Gump type of athlete that used steriods. Someone who could run fast only in a straight line.

None of us know what would happen if the Jaguars signed Laron Landry, but everyone knows Devin McCourty is the best available vetrean free safety.

Ummmmm, exactly how many rookies will we be starting next year? Maybe 1 or 2?
