In the "article" it goes on about EJ Manuel, with him ranked fourth on an insignificant chart where two of the three names above his are Robert Griffin and Mark Sanchez.

 

I think that's all we really need to know about the "article."

Marrone likely saw things in practice that would indicate that it won't take long before teams figure EJ out. Future results since then have indicated that Marrone was correct.

This is basically what I'm thinking, plus rookie qbs sometimes excel out of the gate before teams have a chance to collect tape on them.


 

He's also overlooking qbs who didn't start week 1. For instance, after week 5 of his rookie season having started two games and played in a couple more, Byron Leftwich was looking at the following stats...

And Blake improved the next year. EJ went downhill, proving that Marrone was right.

I could really careless about what happened in Buffalo. Obviously Manuel never amounted to anything and the Bills organization is a dumpster fire right now
