I personally would rather go to a library in the day than anywhere at night, but that's just me.

Mom won't take you to see Magic Mike?

I disagree. When I got to Orlando in August it was hot. You had your sticky, sweaty days where you just wanted to be at the beach. Then come November things cooled down quite a bit. I was used to the cold from living in NY but as time went on I saw myself throwing on a long sleeve because it was down in the 40s. Most days I still drive with the windows down but most nights I just crack the sun roof now.

We shall see how spring treats me soon.

With that being said, BTW, the climate change from just going 2-3 hours north is pretty drastic.
My parents are both from the Tampa area and I spend many years there. I like the area overall. Probably one of the few places other than Jacksonville that I would want to live in.

Ahh, I see. I read it a little differently, like you were implying Jax has multiple summer seasons or something haha.

Tampa is about an hour and half southwest of Orlando, it's pretty much hot year round.

lol yea I meant it's literally hot year round
Tampa is like a bigger version of Jacksonville with more blue hairs and better entertainment, but fewer rednecks and only a slightly higher incidence of drug related violence.

And they have a casino

Those rascals.  I'll add that under the "entertainment" list.

If the blackjack tables pay 3:2 and allow surrender, I'm there.
Tampa is good if you are kid free.   Fun, but a bit trashy and rugged in Pinellas County.   I used to think it was relatively clean but compared to the newness that northern Florida has created over the past few years, I'd take Jacksonville any day --- great place to raise a family as well.

If you grew up in Jacksonville, don't assume you are coming back to the same place.  It's getting more and more modern and the people are getting more stylish by the day.

One of my favorite events outside of football season only to be topped by country music super fest in June!

Tampa is only about 50 miles south or Orlando, geographically.

I grew up there, it's not like the differences in seasons you see up north or in Denver, but its certainly cool put right now to a Floridian.
Yeah, I'm not really sure what one season thing means. It's cold tonight. It has snowed in Tampa in the past. I've lived in both Jacksonville and Tampa, and I don't think the weather is much different in the two. Just as hot in the summer and just slightly cooler in Jax in the winter.
Where do you live in the metro? I'm here and have noticed a lot of Jags fans that reside in Colorado. We should get up if you don't leave before the draft/ preseason.

I'm way north of Denver, about halfway to Fort Collins. I'm definitely the only Jags fan I've ever seen, but we spent one year in Westminster and a little over three years up here--not exactly the biggest parts of town.

Well than my apologies I was born in Tampa but grew up in st Augustine. I always remember the winters we went to Tampa to visit my grandmother either for Christmas or thanksgiving way hotter then at st Augustine. To me anything south of Orlando doesn't really get that cold
