Quote:Bryan Bulaga has a significant history of injuries. Hence, if the Jaguars offer him a contract that's noticeably better than what any other team offers him, I think he will jump at the opportunity to sign with the Jaguars. This could easily be Bulaga's final opportunity at a big payday. If the Jaguars brass considers Bulaga a very high priority if he hits the open market as an UFA, my guess is he will sign with the Jaguars. The grass field and no state income tax in Florida can only help the Jaguars cause if Bulaga is available.

You just gave me another idea for a new thread when you mentioned our grass field. But to stay on topic, I think the Packers will try very hard to keep Bulaga and cut some guys to make it possible.

I'm not sure about that.

The Packers history under GM Ted Thompson has been to replace most higher priced Offensive Lineman UFA's.   The Packers have done a great job drafting O-Line replacements in the middle rounds.   One of the rare times the Packers invested a high pick on the Offensive Line in recent seasons was taking T Derek Sherord in Round 1.   He turned out to be a bust,  in part because of injuries.    Other than Bryan Bulaga,  all of the current starting Packers Offensive Lineman are former middle round picks.
