I'm not liking this move.

When I saw the title of the thread, the first thing that came to mind is this decision has Rex Ryan's prints written all over it.

A lot of the Bills' forums are linking this move to Rex Ryan. I'm not so sure though. I'd have to think Greg Roman really wanted him.

It could easily be a combination of both wanting the player. But it's the type of bold move that Rex Ryan would make when he had more personnel decision clout when with the Jets, in his earlier seasons as HC of the team.

Bad option because of his past issues or some think he sucks as a player? I'm of the belief that maybe a year off subdued the "locker room cancer" attitude. Reality check. If that can be held in check, I think he's a decent player that could add some needed aggression to the Bills line.

My take is Richie Incognito more likely than not still has winning level physical ability. But considering his long checkered past, the Bills need to have a viable contingency plan at Guard. One never knows if/ when Incognito will go off the deep end again.

I think he was overrated as a player, but he's better than the current guards/turnstiles on our roster so he'll probably start. I'm also not a fan of his dirty style of play which he apparently wears as a badge of honor. His off field antics also leave me smh.
The good news is his contract is reportedly only for one year and $2.25 million so they are either thinking he's a stopgap or wants to see if he really is reformed before doing anything longer term. If he wants to play here or anywhere else after this season, he's going to have to hold it together for a year.

Would not surprise me if he is let go before the season starts. Will be 32 and has not played in a year and a half.
