Hey, just thought I'd ask my fellow Jaguars to remember me this Friday. I'm going in for surgery that should be outpatient but is still considered major surgery. Recovery time depends on how well things go. I am hoping 2-3 weeks but it could be up to 6 weeks.


Also, remember my husband. He's able to take a week off via FMLA to look after me which is great but he is not used to being a caregiver. He was a solid bachelor for 20 years when we got married almost 3 years ago and has only ever taken care of himself. His patience will be tried. Hopefully I'll be too medicated to realize the depth of his suffering. Lol. I'm not a clingy patient but I will need help with just about everything initially while I heal.


Anyway, I appreciate thoughts, prayers, positive vibes and words of encouragement. I'm not freaking out or particularly concerned, but it is surgery and that is never a pleasant experience. Thank you!

Can you elaborate on the type of surgery you will have?

I will also be praying over the surgeons, doctors and nurses who will be performing the surgery and taking care of you.

Thoughts and prayers to you for a successful outcome and a speedy recovery.  I'm sure your hubby will do just fine.  Men have a way of being resourceful and attentive when push comes to shove.  Take advantage while you can!

Good luck, not just with the surgery, but the recovery. There's never been a period of time in history that is better than now to get a surgery! I look forward to seeing your recuperating time posts. :-)
