Quote:Brunell was suckered into an interception in the end zone and then played shell shocked the rest of the game.
No...that's not true.

In the second half, he threw a deep pass down the left sideline out of his own end zone to Jimmy Smith that was dropped.  Later in the second half, he threw a deep 3rd down pass to Alvis Whitted that would have flipped the field and wrested the momentum back from Tennessee.  The pass hit Whitted between the numbers, and he dropped it.

Dang you, Knarnn!!!!
Quote: I talked to Aaron Beasley and asked him what it was about the titans? He said he didn't know they just had our number for some reason (Stolen playbook)..

I also asked him if he thought they would have beaten the Rams in the SB he said  quote "We would have whooped them".

Most people I know who were at least old enough to vote and who had any kind of knowledge of both teams think we would've smoked the Rams. The irony here for me is that I was a Rams fan before becoming a Jaguars fan. Wink

Despite only being 8 at the time, I remember the '99 playoffs really well. My mom is a Dolphins fan(interesting that we both support Florida teams from Ohio), so I had to continue to rub the 62-7 game in her face. I don't remember the actual Titans game, but all I remember is we have a huge metal gas heater downstairs and after the game I went to the heater and kicked it as hard as I could about 15 times in a row. I did also get grounded. ha.

Quote:I was living in Nashville at the time too.  Ugh.... I still think the music city miracle was a forward pass.  And odds are we beat the very young and inexperienced Peyton Manning and make it to the Super Bowl.

Not sure we beat that Rams team.
Am i missing something here?

That can be said a lot around here.

Quote:Helluva tackle by some no-name LB in the open field against a WR.

I remember leaving the dolphins game after 62-7, almost everyone was chanting "bring on the titans." Even thought hey hadn't beat Buffalo yet, people wanted revenge against the titans, and they were sure we would get it if we played them again at home.

15 years ago, I experienced the highest of highs and lowest of lows within the same week. The only thing that has come close since then was the 2007 steelers win followed by a loss against the patriots*.

In 1999 I saw Jags fans at the happiest they ever were, and a week later probably the saddest they've ever been. It's a crazy life we live.
Agreed.

I watched the Jags/Phins game at my friend's house who happened to be a Dolphins fan.  When I walked into his house it looked like the Dolphins threw up in his living room.  Literally, anything he owned that was Dolphins related was displayed: posters, jerseys, stuffed animals, bandanas, etc.  I think by half time all of that stuff had gotten packed up into a box.  It was a good time.
