I'm glad Dish did okay with it's dispute with Fox News. My wife and I used to watch it for our news. We took most of what they said with a grain of salt, but eventually they said some things that made us decide to stop watching altogether.
News stations pander to their base, and try to rile them up. If you're a conservative, you watch Fox News and let it get you mad about how bad of a shape this country is really in that the other news channels won't talk about. Of course that's not to say that this country is in great shape -- but like other networks, they try to push a narrative, and it's usually off basis from reality.
Now we stick to local news, and get our news from the internet. Though I feel in ways it'd be better to just get it straight from the newspaper instead.
