Quote:No. The majority of us were dreading him and Hackett coming back. We watched him gutlessly give away games and our playoff hopes slip away. It is true that our new owner was ready for him to come back but as a fanbase, no, we were more than happy when he left. Of course we're acting mad like he's a quitter, but we are really glad he opted out.

It should be that the new owner(s) kept the Coach/GM of the Sabres when he bought them.

He basically game them enough rope to hang themselves.

People were willing to give Marrone a pass, as the defense is set, and with maybe a new guard or two, they could have an offense.
Quote:I'm laughing, I give it 4 weeks before Marone wants to be the head coach and undermines Bradley. Sure Buffalo had fewer sacks than jax, but it was a result of buffalo having a better QB. Bryon, errr I mean Blaine, shoot! I mean Blake is terrible, he needed that senior year at UCF, but leave it to Jacksonville to draft him.

When I heard buffalo was playing AT Jacksonville, I was excited, 9 home games! Then I heard it was in London, now I'm disappointed, however the domination our pro bowl DL will have over your Marone led OL will be epic!!!
LOL A Buffalo fan talking smack is like a frog trying to cross the road. Eventually you get squashed......I look forward to us poppin' that hot air in your head come London. #tissues

GO JAGS!!
Man, Bills fans are awfully salty for a bunch that claims to be happy. Have fun with EJ Manuel.
Smack talk from fans of a team that hasn't made the playoffs since the Y2K glitch was in the news.

If I were a Buffalo Bills fan I'd be more concerned about the front office trading up for Sammy Watkins in (arguably) the deepest/most talented draft for WR's in the history of the NFL, you were better off staying at 9 and picking Odell Beckham or Kelvin Benjamin, I'd be more concerned with not having a 1st round pick in 2015, I'd be more concerned with the selection of EJ Manuel in the 1st round of the 2013 draft. There are plenty of problems in Buffalo, trying to pin all
of them on Doug Marrone is disingenuous, but hey, I’d be angry as well if the only coach that led my franchise to a winning record in several years decided to opt out of his contract.

Should we tell them its like 70 degrees here just to irritate them even more :teehee:

Should we tell them it looks like Tom Brady is going to be playing for another 5 years.

What makes it even worse is that Buffalo drafted heavily at WR within the past few years.  They already had a young talented WR corps before trading up for Watkins in a WR deep draft.

That's the only reason I'm mad, haha! I should follow my fellow WNYers who have relocated to your town.

Bunch of morons tbh

Yep, Robert Woods, Marquise Goodwin etc...they "had" to have Sammy though, who ended up (and profiles) as the third best receiver out of this class behind Odell Beckham and Mike Evans, it will go down as one of the worst trades in their history considering the significant depth of last year’s WR class and their QB situation, pure incompetence on all levels.

Quote:Not a single win in the playoffs since 1993???

That's extremely awful and depressing.
Correction:  Since 1995.

The Jaguars were in the inaugural season the last time the Bills won a playoff game.

A little better, but at the end of the day, it's the football equivalent of rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.

Can't lie, most of us are pretty ticked about that as well. We love Sammy but most of us aren't convinced he was worth the trade. At the time however, most people didn't know Beckham Jr. was going to be an absolute freak and there were questions about if Mike Evans was that good or if Johnny made him look better. Obviously we know now. All sources tell us we had Ebron on the board if we didn't trade for Watkins.
Sure wish the bills last play off win would have been in 1999....

We signed an undrafted free agent receiver who may eventually have more of an impact in the NFL than the fourth pick of the draft.

This!
Quote:Marrone admitted to calling an ultra conservative game plan to take the heat off of Hackett. Our D was handed short fields time and time again and still kept us in every game. There were a handful of times he would punt on 4th and 1, inside the 50, down by 7 or less, with like 6 min to go!!!
Well he won't be doing any of that for the Jags.

<p style="color:rgb(41,47,51);font-family:'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;">Reports to the contrary, Doug Marrone was candidate for OL coach from the start. Didn't interview for the off coordinator job. #Jaguars

so... Ryan O isn't an idiot?  Some here gonna eat some crow.
Quote:Was he your O line coach too?
Dimson..let me first say sorry for some of these knucklehead Bills fans. I too am a Bills fan, thought you might like to hear what the Bills fans think about Marrone. Some are just idiots.

In terms of him being O-Line coach, Pat Morris was the named O-Line coach. But at TC and through the parts of practice during the year that is open to the media, always reported Marone spent the great majority of his time with the O-Line. If was to take just a haphazard guess would be over 60% of his time was spent trying to "coach up" that unit. And according to Marrone himself, they vastly underperformed this year and regressed from pre Marrone days.

He had the reputation of holding grudges this year as well. Good example was left guard. After starter was hurt in game 2, he played a rookie from Baylor that was just overmatched for 5 games, all the while having a guy in Kraig Urbik on the bench that he refused to say why he was not playing. Once it became just so blatantly obvious Richardson was not up to the task and Urbik inserted, the play at lG was instantly upgraded. It was very, very strange.

Also our two vets , Center Woods and LT Glenn, regressed this year. Glenn had a mysterious illness through TC , and speculation is that hampered him all year. Woods play many blame  on the atrocious guard play on both sides of him.

Someone mentioned his stint as OC in New Orleans, and he was really the O-Line coach there. Marrone could not get hired for an OC job now, as has been widely reported he has NEVER called plays..Payton did in NO.

Quote:Is that even possible??? LOL
Unfortunately it is...been a long 15 years brother...last playoff game we won was AFC Championship in 1993!

Last playoff game we were even IN was Music City Miracle in 1999.

But we got next year Wallbash  :woot:

Quote:Could you speak up?

I can't seem to hear the trash talk of fans of a team that has not been to the playoffs since 1999, or won a playoff game since...1993?

Hell, even Cleveland can best that.
Please, jacksonville has no history, how many hall of famers have played for the jags? I had to look it up and it was zero.

1995 was the last year, you remember that year? before that year, you were all Dolphins fans and in 5 years you'll all be Dolphin fans again.

London Jaguars? sounds pretty good to me!
