Wow.... it doesn't take long to get the Wikipedia page updated when you screw something up !!!

Quote:I hope Brandon Bostick can accept the fact that the loss was not all his fault no matter what anyone else says about the onside kick.If he'd done his job and blocked instead of trying to field the kick, Green Bay would have won. It's true that you can't pin all the blame on him, but he freelanced, and by freelancing, he gave the Seahawks points. If he doesn't freelance, Seattle doesn't win, period.
Quote:Still sucks for him though. He's going to regret that the rest of his life.
Quote:If not for the successful fake FG that became a TD, the game likely would have been comfortably in hand for the Packers by the time an Onside Kick might have been attempted.
Quote:Actually the comfortable lead would have been made in the first quarter. I feel like Green Bay left eight points on the field by kicking field goals instead of going for it near the one yard line.
Quote:The Seahawks had the # 1 Scoring and # 1 Total Defense in the NFL in the 2014 season. Considering that and the Packers inability to get a TD from the 1 yard line against the Lions ( top rushing Defense in the league in 2014 ) on their first drive the regular season finale, it's far from a given the Packers would have scored a TD on one or both 4th down and goal situations against the Seahawks,
Quote:Because of that I agreed with the decision to kick, but hindsight is 20/20 so I am wondering if it would have been better to make the Seahawks start their next drive at the one yard line.
Quote:If Aaron Rodgers was relatively healthy, which he wasn't, I think it would have been a good decision for the Packers to go for the TD on the 4th Down when they were at the 1 yard line. The limitations that Rodgers was dealing with limited the Packers play calling options.
Quote:I hate the guy who twisted his left leg while sacking him. Several times I heard someone say, "This is a play where Rodgers normally would run." Ugh!
Quote: It works both ways though. Clay Matthews could have seriously injured Russell Wilson following a Packers Interception.
Quote:I could never figure him out. He got no medical attention on the field and as far as I know was not treated on the sideline either, but did not play in the second half when the Packers were on defense. What happened?
Quote:Who didn't play in the 2nd half when the Packes were on Defense?
Quote:Clay Matthews
Quote:Clay Matthews was in on 53 out of the Packers 70 Defensive Plays during the game. Of those plays, 29 were at ILB and 24 were at OLB.
Quote:Because of that I agreed with the decision to kick, but hindsight is 20/20 so I am wondering if it would have been better to make the Seahawks start their next drive at the one yard line.

Quote:Maybe, but then there wouldn't be a Doug Baldwin fumble on return, which gave Green Bay the ball back at our 23 yards. There could be a safety (still a point less than a FG and a worse field position for the Packers), but we would probably run with Beast Mode and get at least a few yards and then punt it back to the Packers territory. We could watch a completely different game, but we'll never know. It's easy to assume they would score 2 TDs and add 8 points to the scoreboard, but things doesn't always work like that in football.
I believe most of the NFL coaches would kick the FG in both occasions, especially in 1st quarter of the playoff game on the road. What IF they did go for it on 4th&1 twice and didn't get any points out of it? If they would lose for 1 or 2 points, most of the fans would say Mike McCarthy made a mistake for not kicking a FG at least once. McCarthy and his coaching staff made mistakes later, but I don't think his decision was wrong at that time.
