Seriously, this guy supposedly covered the NFL for 20 years, but sometimes I feel like he has no football knowledge at all.
It's OK to dislike a player, but to continously turn a blind eye every single time is beyond ignorant.
I could never understand how someone was a big Blaine Gabbert advocate, but think Russell Wilson is just a "game manger" and can't throw a football.
#mindblown
It's a shtick. A requirement for modern sportswriters.
It's like he completely ignoring all the amazing plays Wilson made on offense just because he doesn't throw 300 yards and 4 tds a game.
Man.... Check out his Twitter feed. The guy is unbelievable.
Russell Wilson was much worse than Blaine Gabbert yesterday. Has Gabbert ever had a zero passer rating or thrown two interceptions before completing a pass? He was very lucky a Green Bay player botched the onside kick recovery.
only one of those picks was really his fault, and that's the one he threw deep. the other two should have been caught but just took bad bounces.

What about the fourth one?

I thought two of the interceptions were Russell Wilson's fault. To Wilson's credit, he was a substantial factor in the Seahawks comeback. Being able to put your mistakes in the rear view mirror, yet learning from your mistakes, is an essential part of being a Championship caliber player. When the stakes are the highest, Russell Wilson shines much more often than not.
Russell Wilsom is 10-0 against Super Bowl winning QBs now. Trying to compare him to Blaine Gabbert is laughable.
Even when Wilson has the worst game of his career, he's still able to help his team find a W and go to back-to-back Super Bowls.
If you are a masochist, we can spend some time talking about Gabbert's worst game if you like. I would just have to choose from a long list of potential selections first.
Prisco can be very annoying sometimes.
Prisco's MO is that non-pocket passers cant sustain in this league. It frustrates him on a personal level when they do. If Seattle wins another SB, it could literally kill Pete.
Having said that, Pete is right. Wilson played like crap yesterday and is hardly the reason for them winning that game. Anybody who says otherwise isn't seeing clearly.
It is good to have someone break the league with intangibles. More fuel to the TT fires. Ha.
Sometimes it not how you start the game, but it's how you finish. Wilson was a prime example of that yesterday. Yes, GB blew it, but don't discredit what Wilson did when he knew the door was open. Very few QB in the league can put away the worst 3 quarters of his career and then being totally clutch afterward.

Luck still played a big part in it. Not Andrew.
Of course the ball bounces their way late in the forth. I'm trying to make the point that when given the same opportunity, there aren't that many QBs, saved for Tom Brady, who is clutch enough to turn the game around.
Wilson has done this (being clutch) many times before in his three years career. This was nothing new to him.

When do these magical QBs sustain success? Wilson plays for a team with outstanding defense and a top 3 running game. Yes he's pretty good, but he's on a great team, it's not like he's winning these games on his arm or legs, it's hand it to Lynch and watch the D stop people. He's the epitome of a game manager.

I'm pretty sure he won the NFC title game with his arm in overtime so your argument is completely invalid.

Lol also the week before he threw for 270 and 3 tds against carolina but yeah game manager......
The dude just wins. Watch a seahawks game and every time you will see him at least 10+ times bail his team out on offense with an amazing 20 yard scramble on 3rd an 8 or a clutch throw with defenders draped all around him in the pocket. When given the chance he gets it done.
If you switched the talent level of the o line and receiving group (TEs , WRs) with that of the defense and RB wilson would dominate on offense and the D would look that much better anyways for always playing with a lead.

3 passes to wide open receivers after a horrific day. Color me unimpressed.
