Woohoo. The swamp is draining itself.

Didn't one of them, Patrick Kennedy, try and bribe the FBI to cover up Hillary's email scandal?
Just more post for Trump to Fill

Cnn is reporting trump asked them to resign. Sounds about right
Who cares? The less career politicians in D.C. the better IMO.

This reads like a bit of a disaster.

“Diplomatic security, consular affairs, there’s just not a corollary that exists outside the department, and you can least afford a learning curve in these areas where issues can quickly become matters of life and death,” he said. “The muscle memory is critical. These retirements are a big loss. They leave a void. These are very difficult people to replace.”

The officials who manage the building and thousands of overseas diplomatic posts are charged with taking care of Americans overseas and protecting U.S. diplomats risking their lives abroad. The career foreign service officers are crucial to those functions as well as to implementing the new president’s agenda, whatever it may be, Boucher said.

<p class="">

“You don’t run foreign policy by making statements, you run it with thousands of people working to implement programs every day,” Boucher said. “To undercut that is to undercut the institution.”

And for all of you who want to believe this is Trump "draining the swamp"...  that's not what happened here.   These people just resigned.  They weren't fired.

UMM...  The Clinton News Network (CNN) is reporting that they were "asked to resign".

That pretty much means that they were fired.
I don't know why it really matters, but they were definitely fired.

Border Patrol chief did NOT resign. The Trump administration fired him, per @Reuters

A small group of upper management that believed they were untouchable. Touched! Yes, there may be some loss in continuity, but they were not the indispensable backbone that the story would have you believe.

Oh dear, sky is falling!

A sign of partisans in position is notable by how many leave (or are asked to leave) when there's a leadership change.

Just like a coaching change, I'd prefer everyone have to interview for their old position if they want to keep it.

More impotent losers will have to find actual jobs rather than sucking off of the nipple of the American taxpayer.

Trump will streamline that department too. He will put people in place who are actually accountable.

No more fast & furious. No more arab spring. No more Benghazi. No more funding anti-American terrorists. No more sabotaging American allies like Israel. No more silly comments like ISIS is "some JV team." I can go on and on and on.

This is a great thing for America. And chalk up another win for the honorable President Trump.
