Interesting hire, but you'd have to figure a pretty safe one. No one knows Tomsula, who actually was the 49ers head coach for one game a few years back, as well as the San Francisco organization does.

Remember seeing a big report about him before their Super Bowl appearance a massive player person I like it
He has been with the 49ers since 2007. San Francisco is the only NFL team he ever worked for in the United States.

Wait a second, with all those foriegn options!?!  What loyalty!

There are NFL teams outside of the United States?

There used to be NFL Europe.

STOPPP you're such a troll!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, he did coach the 49ers when they played in London, didn't he?  Duh!
Quote:STOP you're such a troll!

I am telling the truth. You have absolutely no reason to think I am trolling because of this:

Quote:San Francisco is the only NFL franchise that Tomsula has worked for after coming over from the Rhein Fire of the now-defunct NFL Europe league.
Defunct 2007, thus no other NFL outside of the U.S.

Let me multi-quote before you respond.

The fact that the Rhein Fire does not exist anymore does not mean he never worked for a team in NFL Europe. it is like saying Steve Young used to play for the USFL and Tommy Maddox played in the XFL, which also are defunct leagues.
nvm

Were the USFL and XFL not American football leagues?

But NFL Europe was not. And that was where Jim Tomsula used to work.

So the USFL and XFL were foreign leagues?  Correct?

All I am saying is Jim Tomsula used to work for a foreign league called NFL Europe and the fact that it is defunct does not change his job history. And that was directed at the poster who called me a troll for telling the undeniable truth.

But you brought up the USFL and XFL in your comparison.  These are foreign football leagues, correct?

NFL Europe =/= NFL

There are no NFL teams outside the US.

There's that team in England.

Oh, and Buffalo.  They're not always in America.
