Quote:seriously? it is an audition, that's exactly what an interview is. You're auditioning yourself to your potential new employer.
I say interview as many as it takes.
I am not sure why anybody would complain about that other than just so they can complain about something.
Like I said, Gus should learn something from every interview. Every candidate will come with his opinion about what is wrong and how to fix it. Every candidate will come with some semblance of a playbook, and a strategy to take advantage of the players we have, and what kind of players we need to acquire. They'll come with knowledge of free agents who may be available that they have coached in the past. They'll come with scouting reports on how to defeat our defense. They'll come with their opinion of Bortles' strengths and weaknesses, and how they would develop him and maximize his talents.
They all get 5 hour interviews to show what they've got, and if Gus is smart, which I believe he is, he will absorb a lot of knowledge from these guys that he can put to use in later interviews and in building our team.
According to Ryan O Halloran Olson was at Everbank field all day with Gus Bradley.
Just a theory but:
Maybe we're interviewing a bunch of people while waiting for the candidate Gus really wants to become available.
Olson would be underwhelming. Experienced as OC but less than mediocre results.
This is one of the few options Ive seen pop up that kind of makes me worried. I will still trust in the Jaguars but I will have that doubt in my head.
