Foolish would be stealing crab legs less than a year before you have a shot at becoming a multi-millionaire. Jah - me - is is a one-read-only kinda guy. He's gonna be a little better than Vince Young.

The downside of being a quarterback at FSU: Everybody wants to know about everything he does that is bad, even if it is as minor as crossing the street between traffic lights.

I actually thought that yesterday.  I wouldn't be shocked if he goes back....he has to know the way that game ended that it could probably hurt his stock.  It left a bad taste.

Because he was projected as the #1 overall pick by Tampa Bay, his stock would still be very high if he comes out now.

You have no clue that is true.  Players go up and down in the draft all the time.

 

Remind me of how many people were saying Teddy Bridgewater would be the #1 pick at this time last year....

I am just talking about one game. No player has ever dropped from a top five pick to late first-early second round just because he lost a game after throwing over 300 yards. They drop after the combine and Pro Days or if they get hurt, not because of one loss.

Unless some saw serious flaws in his game. Mariota has some eyepopping stats but look at the games. He rarely throws downfield unless a guy is wide the [BLEEP] open. In the FSU game he had a stretch where 11  of his 16 passes were checkdowns and dump offs. Also watching the ball coming out of his hand. It's on the slow side and doesn't have the zip to fit in tight windows. Mariota is just as much a risk as Jameis, maybe even more so since he plays in a gimmick offense. 

One of the two teams ahead of us will probably pull the trigger.
