Full Version: Could the situation in Denver lead to some riches for the Jags?

With Denver's coaching situation and cap, could some players be cap cuts that we target as upgrades here?
I suspect that the guys they'll let go will be the old ones (Welker) and the overrated ones (Rahim Moore). Between Demaryius Thomas and Julius Thomas, my line of thinking is that they'll keep D. Thomas, who's a very special player, over J. Thomas, the tight end who can't block a mosquito. They could plug a guy like Virgil Green or Jacob Tamme into that spot without losing much.

I'd take Wes Welker. That may be sentiment talking, but I'd still take him.
I could see Julius Thomas in teal. Little injury-prone, but when he's healthy, he's a real playmaker.

I wouldn't want anybody from Denver. Too pricy, and they wouldn't be the tipping point for this team anytime soon.

I am thinking the forgotten guy is Orlando Franklin who the Jags could plug into at ORT, but who has experience at OLG, in case a draft choice can man the ORT position and the Jags want to push Beadles.

Maybe we could get Brandon Marshal back?

With Fox and The Broncos agreeing to part ways, it wouldn't surprise me to see Peyton go ahead and retire.  That would go a long way toward fixing their cap problems saving them more than $16 million against the cap next year.

Because of price, the only person that I personally would want is Adam Gase, the OC. And even him I couldn't pull the trigger on because he's overdue for a HC position

That would be nice.  He really stepped up his play.

On a side note, I just saw that guy at a iHop here in Denver.  Dude is huge.

Steroids? He wasn't that big when he was here.

I don't know about that but he's built pretty good.  He's listed at 250 but could be a little more.
I don't know if Marshall would want to come back here. I think his time in Jax left a bad taste in his mouth
Im not sure we see them cut all that many superstars(well the main two the Thomas will more than likely stay) as they clean some older guys out.

A lot depends on Manning staying.  His cap number is going to help prevent them from resigning a lot of talent.
Bring back POT ROAST!

Yeah if Manning is gone that will help them keep some talent, which I believe might happen at this point but Peyton is kind of stubborn lol
