To lure Gordon, Caldwell would need to offer him a significant amount of money.  Huge risk and reward proposition....but not sure I would want him influencing negatively the young WRs on the roster.  Leaning to 'no' at this time.   

Its strange that Cleveland was in the playoff race until Gordon got back from suspension.

If you make a contract like JB there isn't really a risk, You sign him expecting him to probably mess up somewhere, but if you get something outta him for a year then mission accomplished.  

 

Maybe him and blackmon need to hang out since neither of them can be near drugs and alcohol.  Then they'd have each other.

There is a risk.  It's not like an NFL roster spot isn't a premium that should be valued.  We already have one guy on the roster who is suspended, expected to hopefully return next year, and is one violation away from being gone indefinitely again.  We don't need two, especially at that critical position. 
I'd go with a no on this unless we had some crazy magically contract that wouldnt hurt us at all...and he played like a beast.
