Quote:Man, it's almost like some on this board said the offensive line (or really lack thereof) could be a serious hinderance to Bortles' progression and mechanics. But, then again, the rest of this board knew better and could see through the facade put on by those Henne supporters. :whistling:

(Not a shot at you by the way MJohnston. Just using your post as a launching point for my overly obnoxious patting-myself-on-the-back. Ninja )

what are you saying?  You knew he wasn't ready?

Are you saying the coaches made a mistake by benching Henne in favor of Bortles?  Are you saying that the coaches used poor judgment in evaluating his progress early in the season when they deemed him "ready enough" and the qb that gives us the best chance to win?

Somebody should just start an OT thread, just to do something different

True lol
Quote:Would be great if we could have guys wide open like everybody else it seems.....just saying

Well, you have to be willing and able to use more than the first 3 yards beyond the los to do that.
Tampa is winning
Blake looks good. Everything around him just stinks like rotten eggs. Was hoping to see Lee make some plays.

If he wasn't put on the field, he'd be doing the same thing in week 17 of 2015. No amount of sitting in a film room and working with a QB "consultant" makes up for game experience.

2nd half vs Giants wasn't bad...  But might be nice if Bortles  had receivers that caught tough passes more than once in a blue moon...   Of course it would also be nice if Bortles  could figure out how to get passes through...
Wow, Bucs are winning - Titans going to get the 1st overall pick.

So far Lee hasn't done much outside of a key drop.
Honestly, I'd be fine with the tinhorns making the playoffs for crappy draft position at times.

Jags need to run the ball in the 2nd half and roll-out Bortles a few times.

Try the gadget screen to Sanders as well.

Nobody has done much of anything this game, except for the Pick 6 on a bad pass behind the WR.

Cross your fingers and hope Mariota busts.
Where's our 2nd scoop thread?

Those are some extremes. I'm not even sure if you're agreeing with me or trying to destroy my post.

I'm just saying no QB was ever going to succeed behind this offensive line and instead of messing with Bortles' internal clock and mechanics, they should have just left Henne in as the sacrificial lamb to take the beating for the majority of the season and fixed up the line for Bortles next year.
