I didn't like him as a prospect, but totally admit getting caught up in the hype before the draft. I am glad I am not a GM, because I might have pulled that trigger after the lovefest. He is not helping himself in anyway. He is the Justin Beiber of the NFL, gets a lot of headlines even though his talent is lacking and you can't seem to find anyone who likes him,
i dont even think he has legit nfl talent.. it was all hype
should have taken bridgewater or carr
Quote:Meh they are both awful. I'll take JFF fanboys over Tebowites though, at least they seem fun at a party.
Druggies or christians? I'd hang out with druggies every time!
I guess I was right about what Manziel may have been doing after saying sorry
Dude is a tragedy waiting to happen.
Quote:Hmmmm.....can't be good for the Brownies if the overly hyped QB they traded up to the first round just admitted he hasn't taken his job seriously enough.
This pretty much confirms that he was a Haslett pick and not really a Ray Farmer pick.
A bunch of teams are thanking their scouts for passing on that mess, especially Jerry Jones!
Lol. We all know dang well Jerry Jones never wanted to draft Manziel. Jones has been a round football for all of his life, and he has drafted many players, including HoFers and draft busts. Sure he is a lot of things, but an idiot he is not.
Don't buy into the ruse that he badly wanted Manziel. That was just Jerry being Jerry. If the .001% chance Manziel ended being a star, Jerry can always go back to saying he really wanted Manziel. But if Manziel is a bust, which he currently is, Jones can say "Well, I wanted him, but I was smart enough to think otherwise".
And now we have this from the Browns GM. Does not sound too optimistic.

Quote:Jeez.
Browns security had to go to his apartment to pick him up when he was late.
Shades of R. Jay Soward...

He reminds me of someone that I once knew.
Hardcore alcoholic, but he would always say that "I admit that I have a problem drinking."
He seemed to think that making empty acknowledgements of his problem was the same as acting to resolve his problem.
Manziel is the same, he didn't take playing NFL QB serious enough, but he's still not ready to hunker down and get serious about his life as an NFL player.
Nice. The Browns officially has a drug addict and an alcoholic on their team.
Hey Haslem, this is why you shouldn't take advise from a homeless person to evaluate your draft pick.
I was always surprised that there were so many here that pushed hard for Manziel.

I never wanted anything to do with this guy here in Jacksonville.
Could you imagine how morale would be here if he pulled that stuff here as a Jaguar?
