Are any right tackles worthy of a top five pick in the first three rounds? By that I mean guys who have always played the position, which is important to me because they do not have the same skill set as left tackles and guards. The earlier we pick a pure right tackle, the happier I will be next spring.

Ogubehi played only a little bit of left before switching back and now he's doing well. I haven't scouted any tackles yet but right now I'm a fan of Scherff, pending his ten yard split.

From what little I have seen of Scherff, I have been impressed with his nastiness/eagerness to finish off blocks and punish defenders, his run blocking, and in particular his ability to hit targets in open space.

I do want to see more of him in pass protection, though.

I will study the Gator Bowl (or whatever they are calling it these days...taxslayer.com bowl, I think) very closely.
I bet Fisch pushes hard for Flowers and put him next to his buddy Linder. Flowers can play left or right tackle
Flowers or perhaps Jake Fisher in 2nd or 3rd will work if we don't get someone via free agency.

Flowers sounds like a good bet with his connection to fisch but I dont do anything with the draft till senior bowl
I'd rather go after a veteran in free agency - Bulaga would be the prime target. The offence needs to add some veteran presence.

But if they go the draft route, round 2 has more value at RT. Ty Sambrailo and Spencer Drango are good options.

I want Bryan Bulaga too. But even if we do get him in FA, David Caldwell would be smart to scout tackles for somebody who has more upside than Austin Pasztor.

I was under the impression a top five pick was in the first round.  Not the first three. Hiyo!

I am calling 33-37 the top five picks of the second round. Does that make sense?

It makes sense. Why you are referring to it doesn't make sense.

Because we are going to clinch one of the first five picks in each round, of course. So one of our picks will be in that range.
I hope we get to trade down and get lots of picks!!!

This site is probably the most accurate in my opinion.  Rounds 1-2 are usually pretty solid, after that guys in the 3rd fall to the 7th and guys in 7th jump to the 3rd...it's all over the map.  I'd say over 99% of mock drafts and prospect rankings are done by guys who have never been scouts or GMs (every blue moon i stumble upon one), but I'd have to say CBS does a pretty decent job with their player rankings.  But in the end, nobody knows till the end of draft weekend  The site will at least get you familiar with some names and sometimes the systems and schemes they play in.
