Check out twitter bro. Find your favorite Democratic congressperson or senator. Observe the reaction when they compliment it's removal.
Go to r/politics on Reddit or sift through Tumblr. The bastions of progressivism. You will have trouble finding a single positive reaction, or any reaction at all, to TPP being removed, despite it being one of Bernie's hallmark policies.

you seem to assume that it not getting passed earlier means it wouldn't get passed later. it's constantly evolving and there was indeed push to get it passed
