Quote:Lots of great, some painful, 2 acf championship loses hurt. But man were they fun to watch though.

The first one didn't hurt as much as the second one.  The second one was our Superbowl.  We would have beaten the Rams, I have no doubt.

It got to 99 and I just started getting depressed freaking tacks omg I hate the tacks.
Why did Prisco say they didn't get the pro bowl consideration throughout their career? Wasn't Keenan our first ever Pro Bowler? And Didn't Jimmy go to 5 straight Pro Bowls?

Either Jimmy or Tony was our first pro-bowler.

When Jimmy was selected to go, he took Keenan with him, to be around that atmosphere.

Eventually Keenan got selected also.

Maybe those votes were heavily from the players and coaches and not the fans?

Okay thanks... But what about my first question? Why did he say they didn't get the pro bowl recognition

Keenan was the first in 96
Watched it, wasn't that great.

Wow!!! Nice memory. I was going from mine and got it wrong.

Keenan, Brunell and Boselli all got selected in 1996.

It was Keenan who took Jimmy in 1996, not the other way around.

Take a look at this list of Jags pro bowl player selections.

I don't really know.
Just watched this on NFL Gamepass. Brilliant to watch, 2 completely different men with different stories.

Jimmy has had a tough time of it, I really hope he can keep off the bad stuff.

Man, the end when they brought them out onto the field and Jimmy was almost crying...damn.

Because they played in a market that was (and still is in many ways) dismissed by voters.
Quote:He did have one quote that resonated with me...when he made the statement about the potential effect playing against Tory and Isaac in the Super Bowl would have had on their legacy outside of Jacksonville.  To this day, I am certain we would've slaughtered the Rams in that Super Bowl...but I am obviously biased.
The Titans should not of been there but due to that bs called the music city miracle they were. It was a forward lateral and we should have been playing the Bills.
I was 11 when we got the team, fortunate enough to have parents who were huge fans from the start, so we've had season tickets ever since. I still remember my younger brother using the step stool we brought to the stadium to help him see Anderson miss that kick. I think that's partly responsible for the amount of patience I have for this team. Reading these forums, the idea of patience is certainly not a popular theme. This is understandable of course; one only needs to cite our record over the past several years.

But I see a 20-year span, one with many ups and downs. I didn't feel much hope towards the end of the JDR era, especially with Mularky as a stand-in. It was far and away the least interest I've had in the team. With that said, I like the attitude and feel of the team with Khan, Caldwell and Bradley steering the ship. I like the players they've brought in and the gusto to try something as extreme as they have. For that, I think more patience is required. More patience than some may think fair or would be willing to give. But For that, I can wait longer. And I'll enjoy the ride while I do

It was a very powerful moment when he said "Wonder what kind of response I'm gonna get.  Don't know if everyone knows I'm here." and then the crowd roared as his name was called out.  I'm glad he got to feel that and I hope he can continue to beat back his demons.

Agreed...I was surprised at how humble Jimmy seemed when he received a great ovation.  I really believe his eyes have been opened by his life and hopefully he's on a good path now.

Being at the game when he was announced was a great moment. To watch it on the special was cool too.
Special times. Reminds me the the song..don't know what you got, till it's gone.

The 14-2 season was beyond description, from the highest high to the lowest low.

I'll trade all the big screens, pools and other eye candy to have days like that back again. The feeling in the stadium was different. Electric. Exciting. Us against the world. " Jagwads" Nation.

Hope it returns.
