Five or six years ago the T-U had a preseason photo shoot with some of the players and included some fans. I was in that as was a guy who posted on here named Dav. Nice guy. I recall reading a year or two ago, he passed away.
I probably have met others at Jaguar functions and did not even know it.

The message board pulled together a get together several years back, I think it was Del Rio's second year. They held it at the Mudville Grille in St. Nicholas and booked the private room. We probably had 50-60 people from the board there. The folks who organized it sort of still around, although not as active on the board as they were at the time. There were a couple like Fargin and Dav who have since passed away. It was a good time. There was enough money raised to have giveaways, and the team donated a bunch of stuff. Jack's brother Jeff was actually there and hung out with us. He used to be a regular on the board. Interesting guy. He was actually the one that suggested doing it.
Years later, Donovin Darius did a get together to go bowling. It started out as something he suggested on the board (he posted here as well), and it took off from there. He ended up doing it multiple years and turning it into a charity event, but it was always well attended by board members.

There used to be a section in the TU (when people actually read the paper) that would have a comment from someone on this board every week. Pretty cool feature.

I've met people that found out my username on here. They rarely posted, but knew my thoughts on a lot of things.

Whatever happened to SkeeterRob? I met him years ago and he posted on here too. Is here still around?
Skeeter moved out of Jax to either Middleburg or Green Cove Springs or somewhere like that, and pretty much withdrew from the active fan base. I haven't heard from him in several years.

hm that's not that far at all from Jax he's about 20 min. North of me in Bostwick.

I'm glad to say I had the opportunity to meet both him and Fargin, both were intelligent, likeable fellas. RIP
