The best thing possible is for the Jags to get the 1st pick and trade down for additional picks.  It doesn't have to be a king's ransom like the RGIII deal, move down a few spots, pick up a 2nd rounder or even some mid-round picks.  Add depth and talent to the roster for years to come.

Winning a few meaningless at the end of the season does nothing to build "momentum" next year.  It just keeps us worse longer.
People always want the Jags to trade down but they never do

All you hear on here is trade down, even on mock drafts. Don't know why people are fascinated with it so much. Pretty sure they had an opportunity last draft and didn't.
Quote:Watching the Titans against the Jets they really stink bad. I honestly see the Jaguars winning decisively.
I know one thing. We will not score in the second half

We scored plenty on the Giants in the second half. What makes you think we won't score on the Titans?

I say we get up on them early, then rest our starters for the big Houston game ( sarcasm )

People think that the #1 overall pick is the only one that can be traded too.

Houston wanted to trade out of the first pick last year but couldn't get a good offer. Cleveland managed to trade down with Buffalo a few picks later though.

Teams are not willing to give up multiple firsts a QB that isn't a sure fire thing. Everyone knows how much of a mistake the RG3 trade was.

I'm officially flatlined with the team.  Until they show more of a heartbeat, I'll reserve my right to complain and discuss on the forums.  I don't care where we pick next year.  Make it count.

Quote:who ever loses this game with titians vs Jags will sink even farther in the we stink hole. The loseing team will just keep getting worse, and worse, and worse, and worse each year. The winner of the game will start getting better as the years go by. you better hope jags win.
This doesn't make any sense.
yes it does make sense. When 2 teams are playing for draft spot ussalley the loseing team ends up being bad for serveal years. The winning team seems to turn the corner, and get better.

srs? This is still a jags game, if I was a bit more local it would be an awesome thing to go to.

Quote:Wouldn't it be funny if the game ends as one of the highest scoring, yards, etc and no one saw it.
It would be funnier if I won the lottery, I like my chances better too.

The Who Flung Dung For # 1
Now that's good.
Very similar to the game against Houston last year.

I'll take the win any way we can get it.  We can't tank for high draft picks every single year.  We need to turn the corner eventually and the only way to get better is to win.  I just don't see why everyone thinks our future is tied to having the #1 pick.  There's no guarantees with those guys and you can't bank on them being successful at this level.  Look at Clowney for starters.  Where is he and what has he done this season?  His career could be in jeopardy from his injury.  Guys like Luck aren't there every year and there's certainly not a guy that's going to be there this year for us to parlay into multiple picks like the Rams-Redskins deal for RG3.  If Tampa gets the #1 overall, they'll take Mariota more than likely any way, so it won't matter.  If you want the team to play to win the draft board every year, you're going to be sorely disappointed in the results of that.  You find football players where you find football players. 1st round, 6th round, the street, wherever.  A good GM and scouts will find those guys.

Just saw a commercial for the game during NCIS,

"Watch Blake Bortles and the Jaguars take on the Titans "

At least we have 1 player worth mentioning, all they said was Titans for them lol

You got any examples?

I saw the first commercial I've seen for this game earlier today, though they've been advertising the Saturdays game pretty hard lol.  Not that I don't blame them.
Quote:This is a true battle of which turd stinks worse.  I will say the titans  turd stinks a lil less. Titans 17-13  It's a thursday night stinker

The Jaguars have a negative 165 points while the Titans are at a negative 159.  The titans have already defeated the Jaguars once this season.  Their QB has 8 tds already to Blakes 10 with far fewer attempts.

I don't yet,but i am looking for one. Thats not something to brag about so its possbille nfl may not put it out there.
On a personal note, I'm desperate for a Jags win, my brother in law is a Titans fan so this match up dictates which one of us is the owner of the wooden spoon until next year.
Quote:Tennessee loses, and gets Mariotta or Winston in next year's draft.

Worse, Tennessee loses and gets an RG III bounty of picks for it.
