I don't think so. He did get Andrew Luck right. If Gene was in that position I don't know who he would have picked, but I bet it wouldn't have been luck.

  Unless Jim Irsay hires a G.M. like Bill Polian who won't put up with his meddling,  I think you and other Jaguars fans have plenty to look forward to regarding Colts future personnel decisions.

A 4 year old could've made that pick, and I'm pretty sure the scouts/media/owner made it for him anyway.


He traded a FIRST round draft pick for Trent Richardson during the window of player acquisition that had been gift-wrapped for him by having his franchise QB on a rookie contract.


Even Gene wasn't that dense.
