Quote:Not surprising.

Did you just automatically get defensive because you didn't understand his vocabulary?

Otherwise idk how you came to the conclusion that he was being an internet tough guy.
Okla is an internet tough guy. He loves the line "I don't know why you get so sensitive!!!"

Then follows it up with a paragraph of why you're sensitive and he's not LOL.  Laughing  Laughing

Evans is our worst player on defense and Foster is your best so its not really all that exciting to me

You know it's been a tough year for Jaguar fans when within a smack talking thread, you have 2 Jaguars posters fighting amongst each other instead of giving it back to the troll tinhorn poster.

In all fairness, Adam will argue with anything.

He's probably a troll. It's either that or he's so stupid that he doesn't even understand the words he types into his computer.

I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, so he's likely just posting nonsensical stuff because he's smart enough to know he just got told, but not smart enough to have a comeback for it.

......Too soon tinhorns fans?

You and Oklahomie are real classy. Showing AJ get knocked out by a clear helmet to helmet hit.  What am I supposed to respond with the clip when Swearinger got the Jags back?

It is like they only throw a flag if a well known player in hurt
Whatever. (a casual look around this board reveals that Jags fans can't wait to replace that FS)  Also -  Lewis did the same to a tinhorn DB in that game...

Quote:Where have you been the last five years? It was helmet to helmet. Period. Penalty.

And I love that "pretty mild hit". Yeah, it's always mild when it happens to someone else.

Did you not notice that Johnson got a concussion? Did you see him return? Are you saying you'd be ok if the same type hit was made against Bortles or Lee?

Quote:I could care less who would have won that game (if anything I'd be rooting for the Jags) and that is definitely a flag. It was helmet to helmet. End of story. Flag.

Whether you want to argue if that should be a rule or not is a whole other issue, but you can't argue that it's against the rules.

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but doesn't the helmet-to-helmet rule apply to both sides of the football? While the defensive player usually holds the burden of adjusting his play, Johnson lowered his head and did so quickly. Since Johnson took a defensive possession, you can't really argue that he's a defenseless player either.
After reviewing the play the NFL placed a $22k on Telvin Smith's "clean hit."

Yeah, he got screwed.

He really did.  I can see them weaseling into the "helmet to helmet" thing, but it was certainly not fine-worthy.

If that had been Posey or Keyshawn Martin there would have been no fine.

Meanwhile Watt gets no flag or fine for hitting Bortles late.

I hate this idiotic favoritism on flags and fines. It's infuriating for small market teams.  The league/refs look out for their more popular players far too blatantly.

It's best not to think about it too much, NYC...  Otherwise your head will explode.  I can understand the penalty...  Sort of like the face mask thing, if you touch it, you get the 5 yard penalty, even if inadvertant.

But then to re-watch the play and see that it clearly was not the intent to go helment to helmet, and fine him anyway...  It's just absurd.

I doubt Telvin is that worried about it.

These kinds of things usually result in the locker room passing around the plate to cover it.

The worrisome part is that such a benign hit resulted in such a large penalty.

As others have said, it's not like Swearinger got a huge fine for going at Clay Harbor's head. In fact that particular infraction, which was much more malicious, didn't even draw a flag.

You never have to worry about Okie showing class.

You can go to another thread and read Okie whining about how it shouldn't have been a penalty, whine, whine.

And it's on video! The boy is trying to argue with video. That tells you all you need to know.

You sure get on well with the texans trolls. They live under the next bridge over?
