I certainly can't do a mini-biography of Jefferson here, but if you'll do some research I think you'll see what I mean.
The man was a great writer, but this personal actions left a lot to be desired. His personal courage as Governor was lacking, his actions regarding his slaves were not, how should I say - Declaration worthy, and he liked the good life.
He would be all for periodic revolutions as long as they didn't affect his lifestyle.
But he does have a cool Monument in DC. One of my favorites.

Over the course of Obama's campaigns and presidency, I have searched for a good reason to make me believe race was not behind some of what you talk about, but no other reason makes any sense. The reason people have a hard time believing this is because the hatred towards Obama started before he was even elected. In my opinion, he didn't become more hated as time went on, he already was this hated. This is why a lot of people see it has a race/name thing.

To ignore the fact the some people hate Obama purely based (initially) off race and or his name is purely denial.
I am not a pure liberal the way you would probably like to pigeon hole me. I am a centrist and an independent. Personally, I didn't like Palin because she is antagonistic and comes across as less then intelligent enough to run a country. She is the reason I ended up not voting for McCain.
I think there is some people that dislike Obama because he's black sure, I don't think it's the majority however not even close.
That's the issue with the race card, the detractors build the argument it's the majority that dislike Obama because of race. Especially as used in this thread by homie it's his default position.

I don't think a large percentage of the Obama hate is due to racism, but to deny it exists is laughable. Just get around a group of "regular" people and you'll hear a fair amount of it. I mean, when Sony executives are making racial jokes, etc., regarding Obama ... But the opposition is mostly political - i.e., those same "regular" people could probably handle a black Republican candidate.

Technically. Is there someplace in which a technical definition is needed? I don't think most (any) people make that distinction.

These claims of racism are the left's way in invalidating opposing opinions. They're weak, unfounded, and serve no other purpose than to further the divide between races. These same people that you call racists often support Dr. Ben Carson, Mia Love, Tim Scott, and Allen West. It's a stupid argument.
It's no different than all the hate that Sarah Palin got (probably even less) as The Eleventh Doctor pointed out. The left even ridiculed Palin's family.
