If only there was a way to find out

Quote:First in with...Hater!!! :thumbsup:That's who I think is playing the best right now as a top 4. But No way FSU will be left out.

Quote:It does say something that the Noles are the only undefeated team in division 1 A. Division 1 A has 128 teams correct? Going undefeated is an incredible accomplishment and being the only one says a lot. Then Marshall should of been in the top four at one point.

Quote:Anyone leaving FSU out of the top 4 is just a hater. Why? It's fairly easy to make an assessment that they are one of the current top four teams playing football right now.
The ONLY undefeated team...
Defending national champs!
Alabama and FSU will be a great matchup.

Quote:I don't hate FSU but I do hate the emphasis on being undefeated national champs because this is not 2013 anymore. They should be judged based on how they win, not simply if they won. How they won would be sufficient cause for keeping them out of the playoffs if the committee used that as a criterion because everyone else in the playoff race won in blowout fashion.Nail on the head JDub. This is all based on this season, and this season alone. The committee has made it clear that they'll pick who they think the current top four is week to week.

There are five Power conferences.
There is one team from those conferences that is undefeated.
That same team is only one team to play 12 teams from Power 5 conferences.
To say they should be left out of the four team playoff is just silly.

BIG10 schedule and ACC schedule really aren't that far apart in terms of opponent strength,, IMO.
So, even though I think Ohio State looks like a better team than FSU right now,, an undefeated ACC team trumps a 1 loss BIG10 team.
FSU will be in.

And Ohio State's one loss was to a 6-6 team from the ACC

But one loss Ohio State (with one loss coming against a 6-6 ACC team) gets in over the undefeated ACC champ.
Ok.

Alabama, Oregon and FSU are in.
I think you can make a valid case for Baylor, Ohio State and TCU.
I doubt Baylor is going to leap TCU at this point. The committee has shown that TCU's out of conference game against Minnesota is worth more than Baylor's win over TCU. I don't agree with that but I think it is what the committee thinks.
Between TCU and Ohio State, TCU has a "better loss". And the one common opponent (Minnesota), TCU beat by 23 at home while Ohio State won by 7 on the road. Advantage TCU.
Frogs get in.
There will be alot of discussion for the next month. So the real winner is ESPN and the sport of college football.

Wrong about what exactly? Everything said is true and obviously the committee agrees.
