Same question for you, FBT
Ask me again in about one year.

2013
1. Joeckel- Backup caliber, Big Question Mark
2. Cyprien- Low special teams caliber
3. Gratz- Low special teams caliber
4. Sanders- Cut him
5. Denard Robinson- Gem so far, best pick of draft for Jags
6. Evans- Backup caliber
7. Harris- who?
7. McCray- Jury is out, may be a gem for a 7th rounder
I give his first draft and overall D-. DRob keeps it from being a failing grade
To win in the NFL you've got to find Pro-Bowlers or long-term starters in your early rounds. That did not happen in 2013.

When you said "1-10 isnt acceptable to you, then Leave....." Implies that it is acceptable to you and that anyone who disagrees shouldnt be a fan

DRob is a big positive. McCray may also be. However, the 2013 draft class is otherwise looking like a big failure. Those are fair observations and should be of concern because if the 2014 class doesn't turn out better and if Caldwell hasn't learned lessons and gotten better then our franchise is still screwed.

You havent answered my question, pick out 1 positive from the 2013 class. If denard, a 5th round pick is all you have, then that's not a good draft

Quote:Ask me again in about one year.Exactly. At the very least, the 2013 draft class gets an incomplete at this point. There's been plenty of good play, a lot of mediocrity, and some bad play that you would fully expect from young players coming into the league. Especially when you're looking at guys like Cyprien or Gratz who really had no veteran leadership to give them some level of guidance at their positions. Both players are talented athletes that appear to be struggling with the mental aspect of the game, and that will eventually come around hopefully.

Nobody here cares about how much suffering you're enduring as a fan. You want to pitch your childish little rants, then fire off even weaker responses when people challenge your position, you're not cut out for this place.

But there should at least be bright spots, and there are disturbingly few

The jury is still out on all of these players, the only guys out of this draft I have no hope for is Ace Sanders and Jeremy Harris.

The jury may still be out...but you can make fair assessments 27 games into their careers. Joeckel gets somewhat of a pass but there's isn't evidence of high promise for him yet.

And those are your top 3 picks and Cyp was 1 pick from the first round. Their play so far is a terrible return on the draft picks invested.

Some young talent is looking like just that. Young, inconsistent, talented. Players like D.Rob, Telvin, Bowanko, Linder, etc, all have an upward arrow. However, there are some players that are way behind expectations, a la Cyprien who may be the biggest liability on defense right now.

It's still too early to grade that particular draft class, if these players aren't progressing a year for now there would be legit cause for concern. Btw, the 2013 draft class (especially the first two rounds) might go down as being historically bad from a talent standpoint, there's only a handful of players drafted in the first two rounds that have been consistent. Look it up yourself http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2013_NFL_draft
