Quote:Are you telling me Fisch is doing a good job?

Probably about as well as anyone forced to trot out so many rookies and 2-yr players.  The offense is non-functional, but not because a bad play was called.

The majority of fans wanted Bortles out there taking his lumps.  Well, you got it.
Quote:No man, it's not BB fault, it's the OLine, it's Fisch, it's the receivers... Wait till someone finds another QB stats to compare it to BB to make his horrible plays reasonable.

Coddling at it's best.
Quote:Bortles:

I didn't think he was ready to go then, and I think it's been pretty clear for most that this has proven to be the case.

Yup. You're spot on with this. He wasn't ready to go. The management said he wasn't ready to go, and needed to sit.

The fans saw Bortles look good in pre-season vs 2nd and 3rd stringers on the "Mighty" defenses of the Bears and Bucs?,, not having to face blitz schemes or anything exotic.

They screamed for him to be in the lineup,, and are now blaming everything else on BB's struggles.

Bortles was not ready,, and he still isn't IMO. Yes, there is plenty of ineptitude elsewhere on this team. But, right now, Bortles does not look good at all. He's flat out sucked most of the time in my eyes.

He played 1 good half against the Chargers, then promptly got shut out in the 2nd half.

The first clots game,, he came in vs a team that was already up 30 points. He had a couple good drives and then sucked, throwing an easy pick 6.

He looked dreadful vs Pitt, Cle, Miami, Dallas, Colts, and Cincy (lots of horrible throws that Cincy graciously didn't INT).

Okay, he looked fair against the tacks.

The whole offense sucks, but that includes Bortles too. He sucks right along with them. He is a rookie and should get alot better. RIGHT NOW,, he sucks and isn't ready.

Side note - I do find it fairly funny that when Henne sucked early this year (with the same terrible offense of rookies that didn't even have 9-10 games experience), it was all Henne's fault to most people.

Now Bortles sucks, and it's mostly everything else. Yeah right.

Spot on my friend.
Quote:First things first the Manning comparisons need to stop. Bubba does not in the least display Manning's worst year abilities. If Bortles was on path for over 20 TD's I'd be mum on the issue. I truly mean that. Secondly the youth excuse is well just that at this point it's just excuses. There are other rookies that were pulling there weight and some are not. This team is talented enough to be mediocre right now and that falls on the QB and coaching that were not even close. Which means that this ship isn't moving.
Here is a suggestion...walk on next year for the QB position.   I want to see how quickly you can fire the ball down field with three 320 pound linemen in your face.  Remember, you have to get rid of the ball in 2 seconds because your offensive line is lying on the turf.

No problem where do i sign that contract?

Second that. I'll happily sign a contract and try!
When fans are ready to sign contracts... and possibly have a chance of making it(on the field)... we're spinning in the NFL's toilet and we ain't going down. What's it going to take to get people to come to the games next year... a roller coaster? a bounce house? a huge plunger?

Quote:If Fisch is afraid to let Bortles throw downfield, Henne should be QB. If Fisch is afraid to let either QB throw downfield, then we need a new QB or a new OC.

EDIT: Or both
First pass intercepted = Skeered.

Sad as it is, the sheer number of INTs including the killer pick 6 s, will make one gun shy

But! With one win, who cares? Sling it.

But did he really have time? And the one where The Bomber, Bortles Combat, Bubba or Blake he just bobbled the ball on the snap and that deer in the headlights look, I'm not sure any play call would have worked.

There's a time to call out coaching. That time is now. The team isn't just losing. It's getting embarrassed. Even the Raiders and their third rounder show signs of life.

Not a way to come out after a week off. The play calling was as useless as making a purchase at 7-11 with bubble gum.

Pools and half nekked broads...simple. It is Dooooval.

I'm not sure Khan cares who is in the stands, as long as its full. Too bad it's the fans of the opponent.
