He's below average, period.

I liked Cyprien. Nothing I can say for him now.

I am sure there will be some excuse for his play.
Injury that he is playing through
lack of pass rush
trying to do too much
etc
Right now, he aint looking so good. I like the guy, but damn he looks lost out there.

Who knows if he's any good or not - it very well could be the bad coaching.

I can't name one impact play Cyp has made. Why is he starting? Who on the roster is better?

He was a step or two late to the play 3 or 4 times IMO today and could have made more impact in run support. I've come away from a handful of games this season feeling that way. He didn't make the leap I thought he would from year one to year two. Unfortunately - the Jags can only hope he steps up as he's the only viable option at SS for now.

He's a below average player and a liability overall.
He's definitely not one of our strengths, which is what he was supposed to be.
Any decent coaching staff/GM need to admit this error and draft/sign his replacement.
He's still young and could technically improve, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't upgrade the position.

Telvin Smith at SS; Cyp at LB

He's the best we have back there. The only thing that is good is the Dline. I could care less if everyone else goes, besides Telvin.

Cyprien is just horrible. Bad in pass coverage, bad at tackling, poor angles, etc. The guy stinks. Another caldwell bust

This is how I feel. He hasn't really regressed like Ace or Gratz, but he certainly hasn't progressed like I had hoped. Today felt like a step up from the Dallas game, or what I saw of it, so I guess that's a positive. But overall I feel like there was an expectation that he'd make a big jump that hasn't happened yet. He's clearly the best option on the team right now, but that really goes more towards how bad the team is than how good he is.

I remember when everyone was calling Reggie Nelson a bust..... I don't know if can compare them, but I can't write him off yet.

I'd take Nelson over Chytprien any day of the week.
