This is a terrible position for any coach to be in. There isn't a good option, just the lesser of two evils. But let's all blame Fisch.

I'm just wondering when the light bulb is going to flash on for him.  Now Fisch isn't helping him AT ALL, but I want to know when he will start lighting it up based upon his own success even if his coaching sucks.

It will help him. I subscribe to the idea that the guy just doesn't have much around him right now. The talent is there but its isn't refined. Right now we just have a bunch of potential out there.
