I remember seeing a program about 6 months ago about this Marine and the exoskeleton he was determined to use to walk for this very ceremony.

"A Marine who was left paralyzed by a sniper's bullet in Afghanistan fulfilled a promise to himself on Friday and walked using robotic leg braces in a ceremony at Camp Pendleton, where he was awarded a Bronze Star."

"The special operations officer was honored with the Bronze Star for his actions on June 14, 2012, when the patrol he was leading came under heavy fire in Afghanistan. Herrera continued coordinating efforts while receiving treatment for his own spinal injury and collapsed left lung."

God Speed to all our Veterans

That is awesome. I look forward to the day when robotic braces are available to all soldiers who are paralyzed on the job.
