With the Raiders win, we have a very good chance of going winless the rest of the season and getting the 1st pick.  That's the most exciting thing we have to look forward to all season.

Sacred?
Quote:What if Alabama safety Landin Collins is valued as a top five pick? There is no way you can convince me he should not be a top five pick just because he is a safety even if he is one of the five best players in the draft. Earl Thomas waa a first-round pick. Do you know what position he plays? Safety, that's what. It is all about value for the pick.

Aren't you the one that was so adamant that Collins wasn't a FS and that position changes couldn't be done. BOOM!

WelI I sure hope there are some "scared cows" on the Jags coaching staff because there are several areas in coaching/coodinating where the Jags are underperforming and need to upgrade next season.

Same goes for underperforming players.

what player is there that we NEED to be #1 pick for?
Last night was the first time I have gotten to watch MJD this season. His fall from grace has not been pretty, and frankly, it's hard to watch.

Such is the life of an NFL RB. Mojo isn't the first and won't be the last.

It's was late and I had a good wine buzz going. :-)

I don't think it's that hard to watch at all. I don't have the NFL network and Oakland usually isn't the 4:00 game here in town. :woot:
Derek Carr is having a terrible game against the Rams
Raiders fans aren't taking this one very well.
Did Carr get benched?

Yes,for Schaub

There is dumb, and then there is benching your rookie for a terrible backup dumb.

At least Gus isn't THAT stupid.
I think it's a safe bet that the Raiders with their roster and remaining schedule will end up with the 1st overall pick.  If they are sold on Carr going forward and Mariota ends up looking like the consensus #1 overall pick, they'll be able to parlay that #1 pick into several additional high picks which could be just what they need, especially with all the bad trades they've made over the years.  Though it would be the Raiders luck that they'd allow another team to draft Mariota and he'd end up turning into the next Brady or Manning.

Sure I'm biased, but I think we've got a much better thing brewing here than what's going on in Oakland at the moment.  A trade back scenario would be nice for us as well, but I think we are still on the right path to a perennial playoff team even if that doesn't happen.

If they're sold on the player they just benched for Schaub? Yeah, no. Raiders are taking Mariota first overall, book it. Jags will take Randy Gregory
