Quote:I was chatting with a die-hard Rams fan Sunday. He said many fans are livid that Snead didn't use at least a mid round pick to acquire a developmental/back-up QB given Bradford's history. Especially after the windfall of picks they received from the skins.
Fans are hot and cold with Fisher apparently -but generally disappointed that he can't to more with the talent they've acquired that is healthy.
The rams would destory the Jags 30-10. Jaguars can't score
Bradley shouldn't get that long, if he starts off this year as he has the past two years. The excuse of "lack of experience" only will last so long. These guys who lack experience have had at least one, if not two-three off seasons and one-two seasons of coaching and work. If the team lays an egg next year, again, to start the season Bradley needs to go. You can't continue to fall on your face and keep your job. I get it, he's a nice guy, but he's shown too much that he's struggling as a head coach. The team has looked unprepared too many times. The experience reasoning is great, somewhat makes sense, however I don't think he has that to fall back on next season.
The low expectations around here sometimes honestly blow my damn mind.
We should see a hell of a lot more progress next year than what we've seen from Bradley thus far.
Quote:I don't even have to see next years schedule to believe that another 1-9, or possibly 2-8,or even a 3-7 record after 10 games next season is a REAL possibility.
I have seen enough this year to know darn well it's very possible.
What then Jags fans????
What then???
What is the minimum record after 10 games you would like the Jags record to be before you are ready for a major coaching change?
If he has one, two, or three wins through 10 games a change needs to be made.
I'm of the opinion changes need to be made THIS offseason. If you want to keep Bradley then fine but you cannot continue to keep these coaches that aren't producing a good product on the field. Something has to give.
I think 4-6 next year through 10 games would be the minimum standard in year three.

I definitely agree with this.
Fair post Scarecrow.

Most of the board agrees with this. However, people like FBT think you don't know what you are talking about. They point out excuses, and they will always say while they are here that it's not their fault. When they are fired, they claim they knew it should have happened all along.
The thing is you can tell if the staff has what it takes by their actions, and how they handle themselves during the game. You cannot say Gus passes the eye test for a good head coach. He may be a positive guy, but we need a guy who can win games and out smart the other team. We always look like a high school team compared to every team we play. 1-9 is unacceptable. If the jags win 1 or 2 games through 10 games next season, I'm sorry it's not the players.
He might be on the hook if we dont finish out strong. His record as a head coach is abysmal

We've got a good coaching staff. You can see it in the halftime adjustments that we make, the good challenges, the outstanding player development, and innovative play calling. I would be surprised if both our Offensive and Defensive Coordinators didn't get HC jobs next year.

I'm pretty sure its sarcasm...

The part about halftime adjustments should have made your sarcasm - meter explode.

I agree with you that the team needs to start off better next season than it did this season. But honestly, I don't even want him fired next season if it doesn't happen. If you're going to fire a coach, do it after the season is done. I don't want Shad to turn into Chainsaw Dan Snyder. I have much higher hopes for our franchise than for it to look like a mirror of Washington.
If we end the season 1-15 he should be fired before week 17 sunday is over.

Not after this season, no. If that's what you think then you haven't been listening to anything that upper management has said this whole season. The team is selling "Hope for the future". They've literally used that slogan with their marketing outreach. That means next season and beyond. Doesn't matter what the final record is after this season, Bradley isn't going to be fired after this season.

Agree. I highly doubt he gets fired if he goes 1-15.
However there are some people who think he still gets a pass in 2015... which is absolutely nuts. We start next season like this one and Bradley is toast.
As a season ticket holder I'm going on what Caldwell has preached since he took over, that we would be more competitive for the division in 2015. So I expect no less then us 4 - 4 by the time 8 games are played next season. If they are not .500 through 8 games I expect to see a turn over in staff, regardless if Gus is one of them or not.
Heck why wait, fire our defensive and offense coordinators, line coaches, and get some NFL experience coordinator's in here. We need a quarterback, receiver, and line coaches. A someone to teach basic blocking and how to tackle !
Right now i'm deciding whether or not to renew and just become part of 60 percent of fans that are TV fans. Its hard to fork over $$$ for season tickets to watch a below average team.

He forgot to put "/sarcasm"
If you like your coach, you can keep your coach, if you like your win-loss record, you can keep your win-loss record.
The inexperience tag is getting to be a nauseating excuse. The players drafted last year are now going into game 27 for Pete's sake and if correlating this to their college experience would put them in year 3 of their career. Being in the wrong position, running the wrong routes, missing assignments, etc. should have been cleaned up by now with good coaching.
