$100,000 for a Consulting Firm to identify coaches.
Without that consulting firm, how would the Jags have ever known Chip was available.

Umm...thats not what they do. Im sure Caldwell and Coughlin know most every coach in the nfl. Their tasked at finding guys who fit what they want and getting background info on.

Its not like a search firm is finding a qb coach from a rand om Texas high schoolcor community college that is the next big thing to be the HC of an NFL team...good lord.

I find it silly that everyone is so upset about them hiring a firm. If they wouldn't have and hired Marrone everyone would be upset about them not doing there due diligence.
Even if it was a waste of time and money it wasn't a wasn't anyone here's time or money so who cares.

Seems like Khan playing a wise "cover-your-butt" card to me.
I don't see what's wrong with it.

Right. I may not love the Marrone pick but I feel better about it knowing they went that in depth with the search.

Exactly. I really don't see why people are getting so upset about it.

And it might not have been the search firm. Remember Khan said he was impressed with the number of people that contacted the Jags concerning the opening. Maybe Chip called us.

I don't see an issue with them talking to him

Wouldnt mind him as OC. Better than Hackett.

Very interesting. Then again, it seems like GlockBortles and myself are the only ones here who actually think his offense can work in the pros.

I think it can. Look at what he did in Philly and his run game this year if i remember right with barely any talent. Hes never haf this much talent on offense to work with.

I like it

Hed need to be reeled in a bit. If not our defense will do worse due to tempo. But Blake works best when things are moving quickly.
