Just wondering if we begin talking about it now if that is considered breaking a rule or something.
I love this team and can clearly see them progressing but I honestly don't expect any more wins this year. Well we might beat the Titans but we shall see.
Anyway, assuming I am not breaking the golden rule of not talking about the draft before a certain date who do you guys think we will draft with the 1st pick?
I don't think it's too early now. That's Jags football in the 10's or whatever we are supposed to call this decade.
I still think we can win 2-3 more. A. Rob is a gigantic loss, but CS3, Hurns, and Lee are still a formidable combo. Marcedes back too can help in lots of ways, although I am very impressed with Harbor.
Edit: forgot about the shot Hurns took. We need to start getting some payback on this crap. I thought it was a deliberate chin shot. And the pop on CS3 two weeks ago was deliberate helmet to helmet too. The week before that on him also.
Our opponents are takin' it to us, have to even this garbage out or BB will be next.
Go to the college section, we have been talking about it

It's never too early, the offseason is the most exciting time of the year for Jags fans, it signifies "hope".

Amari, shouldn't you be studying right now?

Not a chance that happens, Imo, the only receiver in the 2015 draft that's worthy of a top 10 consideriatioin is Dorial Green-Beckham, the guy is an absolute mess off the field however.
It's never too early to talk draft.
I watch some college football, but mostly go to Marshall or WVU games on Saturdays. So, I don't really see a ton of schools on television.
When you guys talk prospects, it gives me a chance to learn something about players I know nothing about. I like it.
I think the Jags will go heavy on the Defensive side of the ball this year, unless there is a really good OL player in 2-3rd round they can't pass up.
Is this year's draft class heavy on defense?

Yes, defense (specifically the front 7) is loaded at the top of the draft this year, it's also a good year if you're need of a QB or WR.

i dont think the QB class is that good outside of Winston but he has way to many red flags. If you need a RB this class is deep, but with the emergence of DRob we are good imo
Is it too early? I was ready for the draft after week two.

well thats a little silly. DGB is good but amari cooper is really good too. DGB isnt going anywhere near the top 10 if he declares.

Cool, thx.
That's good news for the Jags (if they do target that side of the ball).
Jags could really use help on the front 7, especially around the LB area. As good as they have been in the front, a few of those guys are getting a little "long in the tooth" (Bryant, Clemons, Alualu). It might be wise to have a guy or two there for depth and to get experience for a couple years.
What about Secondary players this draft? Are there any stout Safeties or Free Safeties that look really good?
Please no Amari Cooper. We have WR, we need to build the defense better. Offense will come with more experience and improved OL. I would love Gregory or Oakman with a trade down.
It is always too early to talk about our draft picks before we know what numbers they are in all seven rounds.
It is never too early to talk about college players, but statements such as, "We need this guy," or, "He would look great in teal." make no sense because you don't know if his projections match our pick numbers.

We'll have a top 4 pick.

Nobody knows that yet. Not even the Jaguars. Haven't you ever heard of trading down
before the draft?
When do we ever not talk about the draft? It's been so many years that we have been picking high that alot of us become amateur scouts on Saturday.

Stop

Yeah how dare anyone try and have fun and try to make projections. We need to shut down the college forum until the day before the draft.
