I hate when fans of this team look at this team and say "This is exactly how it was supposed to be"...

"It's all a process"

I guarantee you if you asked Shad Khan, Dave Caldwell, and Gus Bradley about this year, they would tell you it's not how they've expected it.

IMO the next 6 games will be critical in evaluating Gus Bradley.  If we win 3 or more out of the next 6, that can give us some kind of hope for next year.

If we win less than 3 games, I think he's toast and I think this team is toast.

This team that is currently 1-9 and just lost it's best WR, is probably not going to find a way to go 3-3 in the last 6 games of the season.

I think going 2-4 might be a lot to ask.

I hope you like toast.

I haven't seen anyone say that. ^   I think everyone can recognize that a number of things haven't gone according to plan thus far.

(Happy Birthday, BTW  )
I'm trying to stay positive, but the only improvement I see is in sacks: 20 (2012), 31 (2013), 28 ( thru 10 games in 2014).

In things like yds. allowed per rush it's: 3.8 (2012), 4.2 (2013), 4.3 (thru 10 games in 2014)

Opposing Passer Rating: 89.8 (2012), 96.5 (2013), 99.0 ( thru 10 games in 2014)

Percentage completed passes allowed; 63.7 (2012), 64.2 (2013), 64.0 ( thru 10 games in 2014 )

Points allowed/game: 28 (2012), 28 (2013), 28 ( thru 10 games in 2014).

Interceptions : 12 (2012), 11 (2013), 5 ( thru 10 games in 2014).

I just don't see much improvement in the defense. I haven't looked at the offense, but I don't expect to see much improvement there either.

Quote:In the preseason several threads were about the anticipated success of the team this year. I bet 90% said we would exceed 5 wins!

I thought 5-11. Apparently I was an optimist.

I can't see the team being toast.

However, I could easily see one or both coordinators jettisoned as a sacrificial scapegoat after the season.

That's usually always done first before the head coach is let go.

I'm sure at least Fisch is thrown out if not both.
You're correct. Most head coaches get rid of assistants when it starts getting a little steamy in their office. Although they want to use them as scapegoats it was themselves who hired the assistant.
