I have to eat crow on my Chip Kelly comments. I believe I commented to TMD that he is overrated. Yeah looks like I'm wrong.

While he is still playing an overall good game, I have to temper my excitement. Started off real well, has cooled considerably

How's Sanchez looking? Will he give Foles a run for his starting spot? Haven't been able to catch the game.

Sanchez looks like you'd expect for someone who hasn't started a game in a long time. But the Eagles are so much better than the Panthers it doesn't really matter. I'll be curious to see how Sanchez looks next week (not sure who Philly plays.)
It's sad what's happened to Newton. He looks as if he could use a vacation. He's beat up and has no one left to throw to, or no one he's yet in sync with. Looks like a lost year for Carolina. Of course, in that division you never know.

Cam has no weapons besides Benjamin and no running game due to injuries. Maybe one day they'll decide to build around their QB because he has the ability to be very good.

If Dalton and Kaepernick get re-signed then Cam is a no brainer. Imagine Cam playing for the Eagles instead if against them....

At the risk of sounding dumb, im not quite sure what you are saying. You mean if dalton and kaepernick get resigned then cArolina resigning cam would make the most sense? Also what if cam doesnt want to resign? I could see oakland, minnesota, or tampa going for him. Watching this game my question is what has carolinas front office even done to help cam out? Correct me if im wrong they were a 12 win team last year how did they drop off so hard? I know they are still alive in the division but they are just getting destroyed on Monday night.

IMO Cam is a better QB than both Dalton and Kaepernick. Carolina has a 5th year option for Cam in addition to the franchise tag to use after the fact. The chances of Cam sniffing Free Agency is nill. Why haven't they built around him I dunno, but I have a feeling that will be a point of emphasis this offseason.

I don't think any of those teams are viable landing spots for Newton IMO.

Anyone catch Sanchez taking subtle shots at the NYJ coaching?

I respect Ron Rivera as a coach and even more as a person. However, I disagree with Rivera's decision in keeping Cam Newton in the game. It's evident that Newton's mobility is limited substantially because of injury. Newton was at great risk against an Eagles pass rush that was coming from many different directions and sources.
Moving forward, I think it's in the Panthers best interest to keep Newton out of games for a few weeks. The last thing that franchise needs is for Newton's career to be derailed because of injury. Right now, Derek Anderson probably gives them a better chance of winning.
Even in the worst division in the NFL through the first 10 weeks of the season, the Panthers in their current form look overmatched,. The Saints have lost a number of very close games. The Saints clearly look like the best team in the NFC South and the only team in that division that could end up as a significant factor in the playoffs.

The Panthers need lots of help. Their WR group and offensive line is in shambles. The running game is non existent. Cam is a shell of himself playing on two bad legs.
But in that horrible division they are only a couple games back from first place. Rivera is in a tight spot because they can't afford to lose many more games and benching Cam for Anderson may end up conceding the season.

This is one of those situations that the team brass should collectively make the best decision for the franchise. Even if the Panthers brass believes Cam Newton gives them the best chance of winning in the present, the risk of continuing to play him at present seems higher than the reward. Especially when considering what you mentioned that I totally agree with: The Panthers need lots of help.
In addition to the problems you touched upon regarding the Carolina Offense, their pass rush hasn't been effective enough as the weeks have gone by w/o Greg Hardy. It's exposing their Secondary. This team has the look of one that will finish with a top 10 pick, not a team that has a realistic chance of making noise in the playoffs if it somehow wins enough games to sneak in the playoffs.
