I wonder if it's possible that Marrone is waiting til after this weekend to name an OC.  Rumor is still that O'Brien is out after the Texans lose.

Hahahaha
I swear i just thought of this but also said to myself that 49ers would take him
If it happens, he'll be hired as a head coach first.

Right. A guy who beats us twice a  year is going to take a demotion to join us..lol

There is only one HC opening left-SF.

I think the speculation of O'Brien's departure was based on whether or not he would be the fall guy for Rick Smith's signing of Osweiler, and speculation on whether or not O'Brien's attempt to remedy the QB situation by benching him caused any friction there.

It's the QB position, not the coach in Houston that's a problem.

Rick Smith seems to have a HUGE blind spot there.

He drafts 10 Pro Bowlers at other positions, but can't find a QB to save his life.

I think he'll continue to chew through coaches until he accidentally finds a QB that works... if he himself lasts that long.  At some point he's got to find a QB or he needs to be held accountable for his role in not doing so.

I wont doubt that he is holding out for the season to end in hopes to replace Hackett but I highly doubt Billy will be fired from the Texans.
