9 small beer cities that deserve national attention
Portland, Denver, San Diego... blah blah blah. Whenever a discussion of America's best beer cities starts up, people simply trot out the same old cities over and over. And while it's hard to argue against their prowess, oftentimes smaller cities and towns get lost in their shadows.

Being an Asheville native who hasn't lived there since the 70's I am surprised the sleepy tourist town I vacated 30 years ago has transformed itself into a microbrew mecca. Tap me another barkeep!

There is not a single town or city in the United States that I would visit just to try a particular beer.
My favorite town for beer is whichever one that I'm in at the time.
I agree with the Burlington, VT and Santa Fe, NM inclusion. Have had some very good local brews in those towns.
My favorite beer is usually just my third one. Regardless of brand or locale. :teehee:

The first one is usually my fave.
Why would you want to visit a city known for its small beers?
