The line looks like a completely different animal than it did the first 4 games.  Wonderful to see.  Here's hoping Linder's injury doesn't impede his play. He looks great and Bowanko is no slouch either.  Really happy to see so many rookies looking like they may keep these starting roles.

Bowanko, Linder, Bortles, Hurns, A-Rob  all seem like locks to remain starters moving forward. (plus two second year starters at LT and RB)  That's an insanely young turnover on offense.  I, for one, love it.  Building for the future instead of cobbling together "base hits."

On the Pasztor topic:  I think the injury is a big factor. Still - he's a JeanSmiff waiver wire holdover that would still be great depth if Caldwell is forced to upgrade the position. I'm not too worried there as long as he can finish the year without catastrophe.

I agee, the line has been one of the better units in football over the past few weeks, that's incredible considering the amount of youth on it. This team isn't that far away, when you can run the ball, stop the run (I think yesterdays game was a fluke), and play solid defense, you have a chance to win every Sunday.
Quote:I thought the pick was a reach when we took him in the 3rd. Happy that so far, I'm looking dead wrong.

Me too. I was somewhat concerned about the pick, but when I read Caldwell's comments about a few guards on his board going higher than he thought they would, I just crossed my fingers the pick would pay off.  I guess I should keep 'em crossed for Bortles now.  :teehee:

I had a little bit of a Gene Smith "who???" moment on the Linder pick as well, but when I heard he was named Miami's Offensive MVP (over Allen Hurns btw) it made me pipe down a little bit.
